I was perusing gearbest for something to waste my money on when I stumbled upon 4 samsung 18650s for $14.49!
That's £9.25!

It's a bargain if they turn out to be genuine. Not so much if they end up taking your hand!

Just thought it may help someone who's willing to wait months on end!

They do have others. I saw some sony vtc4's for $7.48 which is about £4.78. According to gearbest they are authentic.

Think I would pay £10 extra and not risk my hand! ;)

Keep us posted on the authenticity of them!

I was contemplating whether I should risk it or not.
I wouldn't want to put anyone at risk by recommending these! What's the general consensus of battery deals?

We've learnt to trust FT, and while I wouldn't question GB's intentions, they may not have the genuine sources FT has.

About right on pricing, considering they can be purchased in bulk from reputable suppliers in China for around £2 per cell prior to VAT & shipping.

As for risk, upto the buyer to take the gamble or not. I personally have no issue with buying a Chinese made cell from China.

As Ment already said, GB have given us reasons previously to distrust them

Ah yes very true. Is it worth closing the post if they cannot be trusted?

Don't know if its worth closing.....as its been pointed out its at the buyers risk.

I really don't have a issue with buying thing from China, or anywhere else, as the supply chain is murky what ever country you are in, there is just more recourse if you buy them in the UK.

Certainly less fake 25R's then VTCs floating about!

That's alright then. I think i'll order some and see what happens. In the mean time I may as well make the most of my hand! ;)

It's clear from the thread that caution has been advised, so no.

Me? I'd rather stick to UK vendors who I know source legitimate cells and don't bend the truth.

That's fine then. I didn't want to held responsible for lighlighting these and then they turn out to be fake and dangerous.

Purchasing from a reputable store in the UK is probably worth the £10 extra or so.
