Start low and work the wattage or voltage up until you find YOUR sweet spot :D

im assuming changing the voltage has a different effect to changing the wattage. what is the difference?

Yes both are separate I use wattage on my MVP's as I set and forget unless it affects my juice then I may adjust it as required.

I'm running my vv/vw at about 4.5 volts and 9.5 watts and it seems to work well, but if your interested in seeing a good explanation for vv/vw look up rip trippers on YouTube. He has a good video on it :) hope I helped

I use the same device and keep between 3.7 and 4 volts

In voltage mode you manually control the voltage that goes to the atomiser. the MVP doesn't look at or care what you've got screwed onto it in voltage mode, it assumes you want ful manual control.

In wattage mode the MVP automatically controls the voltage to get it to the power (wattage) that you choose. The MVP looks at the atomiser you screw in and automatically works out what the correct voltage to use is for that specific atomiser.

It's a bit like a manual car and an automatic car. A manual car gives you more control, but you can also ruin the gearbox easily. If you're a new vaper start out in wattage mode at around 6 watts. Keep increasing the power setting one step at a time till it's the best for you.

If you want more control you first need to check the resistance of the atomiser that's attached (press both buttons next to the screen at once) and then you choose a voltage setting that won't fry your coil and adjust the volts up or down from there to taste.
