Shortfill mixing advice

Hi all.
I've bought couple of shortfills and my wife was interested in one of the flavours. She's vaping 6mg juices (I'm on 0mg) so I've ordered nic shots as well. My Mrs got zelos kit and .7 coil and she's into mtl so I need an advice on how to mix the juice for her.
I've calculated (not sure if right) that if I'll mix 40ml of juice and 20ml of 18mg nic shots the final result will be 60ml 6mg.
Now the question is - which nic shot should I use - pg or vg? Also should it be 2 pg or 2 vg or maybe one of each? Juices are 70/30. What ratio I will get at the end in these three combinations and what will the best ratio for mtl?
Help me apes I don't want to ruin the juice.

hi
the juice will lose a little flavour compared to the zero as you are diluting it with non flavoured nic shots.
your right that 2 x 18mg nic shots will make 40ml into 60ml at 6mg
i personally use darkstar shots and use 50/50 as thicker juice will just clog the coils up a lot quicker especially the nautilus coils. so you could use 1 of each 100%vg and 100%pg

@MrDJ thanks for reply mate. I'm still confused tho. If thicker juice will clog the coil up quicker wouldn't it be better to use 2 pg shots for less thickness? Or am I missing something? Sorry if it's a dumb question but I'm fairly new to this.

You can do indeed. The VG makes the juice smoother with more cloud while the Pg is thinner but will give more of a throat hit. Also depends on what tank and coil your using as 20ml extra Pg will make it thinner but with more risk of leaking especially in this weather.

Hi, so if you use 100%pg x 2 nic shots = 36/54 vg/pg
100%vg x2 nic shots = 80/20 vg/pg
50x50% vg /pg nic shots = 63/37 vg/pg....final mix of 60ml....not exact but close

Sorry to barge in, but I had a question on shortfills as well.

I ordered a couple of them and the first one I mixed and, as given in the instructions shook it around for a bit to mix it up. The issue was I vaped it soon after and then had a bad throat the next day, with cough and cold. I also was feeling a bit off after vaping a tank of it.

In short how do we make sure the nic is mixed well and for how long should we steep it after mixing in the nic

I've had a bad batch of nic shots from a well know make so it can happen.
I always test without nic first. Them add nic and shake like crazy. Leave for an hour and shake again. Then after another hour vape.
