I've always wanted to have an engineers surface table I had one years ago but lent it to a friend who then went overseas packing it in a container and shipping it with him

made a few calls a picked up some granite today

i need to make a stand so impact drill, saw cut by eye

basic stand built for strength, not the dining experience

new toy arrives today a rotary table for the miller

checking for flatness if you see the sun between the parallel ground bar you know it's not flat

granite inserted, the plinth or tabletop is on 4 adjustable bolts I put a laser level on the top to level the granite by adjusting the bolts

nice a smooth and flat perfect for marking out

cost £20

time to make 3 hours

done
 
It's got a secret drawer for your coffee cups, hasn't it? :)
