So I've just purchased thus little beast of a machine thinking it's easy as abc. Turns out I've jumped the gun a bit and actually have no idea what I'm doing. I've got 28ga ni1200 and just done 14 wraps around 2.5 I'D. 30 joules and 300f. Am I nearly there or? They told me in the shop that firing with nickel wire can produce toxic gases so I've now scared myself shit less thinking I've inhaled this and I'm about to die in my sleep.

You will be fine I should imagine just YouTube it. I'm sure there is some safety tips :)

Well ... if you're wrapping 0.17 ohm coils with Ni200 you must have some experience ... nickel's kinda fiddly :)

If you're concerned about Ni200 (and you don't really need to be) then don't dry burn it ..... just set the coils, wick, add juice and carry on. If you don't dry burn it will never get the chance to produce any oxides or funky stuff .... make sure the Siegeli is in temp controlled mode and it will manage the rest.

Generally dry burning single Ni200 coils will make them go incredibly soft and unusable anyway ... if you use twisted nickel you can get them to a dull glow and they'll hold shape. Tubbyengineer has done an excellent tube on that here https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...6396-the-nickel-microcoil-build-tutorial.html

You haven't said if you're tank or dripper so I don't know how you gonna proceed from there, but the Sieg is a controlled device so it's not gonna act like a tube mod.

Read around the forum on Ni200 and the Siegeli ... you've got a really nice box mod there so enjoy it :)

Well this was with a dripper! I'm new to rdas and seem to be struggling understanding the electrical side of things!

O you're running a dripper.

All you need to do is make sure you are within the range of the Sieg's temp control. The coils you wound sounded fine.

After that just do the same as you would normally without dry burning the coils .... dry burning's not a good idea with Ni200 as the coils can collapse.

So wind the coils to within the spec of the mod. Set them as normal, wick, add some juice. Put the dripper on the mod and check you don't have any shorts etc, then drip :)
