I finally received the Sigelei 75w TC mod today. Here's my initial thoughts using just a normal coil and not Temp Control (later people, later), sorry for the crap photos but i couldn't be bothered to get the D-Slr out:
Firstly the packaging is very compact and on opening the mod is in a white opaque silicon sleeve (nice touch). The two sides of the mod are both magnetic and removable and made of brushed steel ( i opted for the Black / Silver version). There is a small Sigelei logo on the front of the mod.
On the top of the mod is a spring loaded standard 510 connection.
On the bottom of the mod are vent holes and a micro usb connection.
The screen is bright and very clear even though the photo doesn't do it justice. It shows resistance (2 decimal places), power output (1 decimal place), voltage output (2 decimal places), temperature and which mode you are in.
It feels lovely in the hand, nice and solid but not too heavy. The sides of the mod however are already showing themselves to be fingerprint magnets
I have girly hands so it'll look even smaller in proper man sized hands.
With a Derringer this thing is tiny.
The Lemo v2 is almost as long as the mod itself but doesn't cause the mod to feel top heavy.
Compared to the Sigelei 100w+ it is a lot smaller.
So initial thoughts:
WOW! This thing is amazing. Such a small mod with such power. ;It looks nice, it feels nice, it vapes nice. I'm used to carrying a 100w+ around in my pocket so it feels tiny compared to that. I think that it's definitely going to be my going out mod. The buttons are better than the 100w+, they feel more definite and are a bit more clicky. The usb charging is a nice touch but i won't be using it (there is a USB cable included in the battery compartment when you get it).
One thing that i really noticed compared to the 100w+ and it's a massive improvement is the going up and down when setting the power. The 100w+ starts off slow and then hits warp speed, by which time you have missed the power setting you wanted - cue playing the when to take your finger off of the button game
On the 75w it moves at the same pace throughout the whole power range. *You'll really know what i'm talking about here if you have a 100w+* This single thing in itself will endear this mod to me.
Are there any downsides?
Well, some reviewers have already mentioned it but the way that the sides of the mod are slightly longer than the top causes some attys to sit just slightly off of the top of the mod. Now, this is not a deal breaker for me and tbh i think that it's a bit picky. You have to really look to see it and i guestimate that the gap is 0.5mm. Seriously if you're worried about it then you have OCD.
Final though:
BUY IT!
