Hi,

Recently made a post about my Smok Prince standart coils only lasting 2 days,
so many suggested I switch to RBA and I did - got the Prince RBA kit and watched tutorials how
to put the wick in there.

So primed it and the first about 3 hits were great, then this loud crackling noise like fat boiling in a pan.
So I looked on google/youtube what the reasons can be and I realised its that there is too much juice
coming through and actually falling to the bottom of the atmomizer, which then cooks the juice and makes
it crackle.

So I then thought I must have not enough cotton in the coils so that they are oversaturated and liquid is
falling off when heating up, but even with more wick its still the same problem.

I tried 50 - 100 watts and experimenting with different methods and less force / more force when I pull.

But to no avail, I'm still getting the same crackling sound :(

Btw on my old mod I had the same issue but ignored it and then after a while the juice somehow
made its way through the atomizer bottom onto the mod giving me a short circuit and blowing up my mod....

So yeah please please help I'm getting kinda frustrated over here lol

Thank you!

crackling is not normally anything to worry about, it usually goes away after a while. Normally its just air hitting the spaces in the cotton. If its coming from the chimney though it could be that it is flooded (you will know if its flooded). Your juice will only make it from the atty to the mod if you have overfilled (btw when I used to use smok products I could not stop the rba from leaking regardless of what I did).

Its not spitting anything in my mouth when inhaling, I'm using the TFV12 Prince RBA kit coil.
If I First use it after letting it sit for a bit its a loud crack sound that its making it doesnt sound healthy at all.
If I keep going gently and only press the fire key in intervals its better and the crackling gets more silent.

What happens at lower watts, take tank off and blow down it

It happens occasionally on some of my builds, with the stock coils that come with the RBA I found 60 watts is the sweet spot or around that region, if it's crackling I take it down a few watts, this is not just the RBA issue, it's common on my RDA's too if I over space the coils.

1 last suggestion since it happened to you before, the crackle can happen if you are drawing on it too softly and or releasing the fire button too late, to demonstrate the effect this has, don't vape it but fire your mod without drawing on it for a couple of seconds, recognise that same crackle only worse? that's because it's not had sufficient air draw pulling the vapour through.

So try drawing a bit harder and adjust the airflow vaping around 60 Watts and release the fire but earlier - see if that helps.

Thank you I will give it a go!
