Hi
My first ever post....
I have just started using the smok spiral rba, wicked it myself, but i am just not getting the same tasty hit I used to get from my smok which has a dual mesh pre-built coli. i thought rba would be so much better
does not seem to be the way!!
Any ideas why?

A standard coil is never gonna give you the flavour of a dual mesh coil case closed [emoji6]

It could be a number of factors. I'm new to RDAs myself, I'm sure someone will be along shortly. I know mesh coils generally give off better flavour and vapour, but a average built beginner coil should get close, or at least mine did against a freemax pro quad coil...

What coils are you using, ohms they are firing at and what wattage are you using it at? I suggest start low and build up the wattage you should see flavour building until the coils get too hot and then it starts dissipating, well that's what I experienced anyway.

Other than those couple of points it could be down to wicking, coil placements and airflow. The great thing about RDAs is you can tweak and fine tune them to how you want them to be.

Have you got a pic of your build?

The coil, I am using is the one it came with, it was already built into the rda, wattage, I am using is 36W and 0.44ohms. I will try a lower wattage as you suggest and build it up and see how it goes. I have noticed that the airflow in smok spiral is far lower than in my Smok warrior, could this be a reason?

If that's the case, then fair enough. However, keen to get into rda's, what do you suggest for a beginner in terms of tank and mod?
I have been vaping smok mods with dual mesh coils for the last 3 years

Thanks

Lower airflow generally means more flavour. More airflow creates more vapour, with 'looser clouds'. Less airflow creates denser clouds that produce more flavour. It is a balancing act though as you need airflow to keep the coils cool so they don't overheat.

Who said this vaping lark was easy right? Lol. It's all about trial and error and finding something you can enjoy :)

I like the lower wattage and open airflow and am usually running 20w lower than the coil recommends, I get a nice cool vape that I actually enjoy, but every vaper is different and you have to go with what suits you. I actually thought something was wrong with me vaping at the lower wattages but one of the members or maybe a few of them said just stick with what your happy with and that's exactly what I do.
