Hi everyone! :newhere:

Well I think my story is fairly standard - got given a rechargable SkyCig a few weeks ago and found it to be a revelation, finally I could see a way out of my habit. Been smoking rollies regularly since my teens and as the big 4-0 approaches I'm desperate to bin the fags. My biggest problem is I love smoking! I love the whole thing, the ritual, the hand to mouth thing, all of it but I know I can't keep on. Now I feel like I've found the answer!

Anyway I quickly went on to better cigalikes from Jacvapour, but now I think I'm ready to join those of you and upgrade again! Funny how quickly that happens isn't it?! Happy to keep the cigalikes for daytime but first thing in the morning they just don't cut it and I'm still on rollies. Similarly, in the evenings while I'm at home I'd like something with a bit more oomph. SO, after doing nothing for the past few days but read this forum I'm overloaded with info but I think I'm getting there and it's starting to sink in.

I'm pretty sure I'm headed for an ego VV, but I'm a bit stuck as to understanding the clearomisers, and whether I bin the whole clearomiser or I can just replace certain bits. If I'm honest I'm not sure about the whole rebuildable route because I don't think I really understand it, and also I'm a bit lazy and would like the path of least resistance.

I'm looking at getting this to start me off- http://www.esmokeuk.co.uk/shop/arti...DR2JyjMeayYnszk&shop_param=cid=25&aid=70-001&

My question is what other bits for the clearomiser will I need to order further down the line? And apart from price, what's the difference between the kit above and this? http://www.esmokeuk.co.uk/shop/arti...DR2JyjMeayYnszk&shop_param=cid=25&aid=62-001&

I'm so confused! :please:

BTW: I wouldn't have even half the half of a clue I have without you lot and this forum, THANK YOU!

Hi
Welcome to the forums!
Personally I don't like the VV batteries but to each their own. I stick with the standard 650, 900 and 1100MaH batteries.
As for clearomizers/atomizers you can get different ones, the CE4 is totally replaceable so you can bin the whole thing and buy a new one, I personally like those, then there are ones such as the CE4 Plus' where the head inside is changeable.
It's really about trying different things and finding out what you personally prefer.

First option would be better for you if you want less faff, second option does give you a spare battery, non-vv, but handy, yet it doesn't come with a clearomizer, and is more fiddly with the atomizer heads and all that.
The clearomizer will have to be replaced if non-rebuildable, so if you go with the first kit, which is a decent kit, I'd get another clearomizer of some sort, though try something different, like a vivi nova instead of a CE4, just to try things out to see what is good for you, and also so you can have different flavour juices on the go, and man_d, welcome to POTV ;)

Ahh, thanks guys, you've both cleared up bits of the mystery! I feel happy enough to go ahead and order now, think I'm going for the first kit I linked to and take Marino-Teflon's advice and get a different clearomiser to go with it too. I'm hoping to get into having a few flavours on the go so it seems like that'd be a good plan for that too.

Thanks ever so much. Sorry for asking dumb questions, I feel like such a noob! Looking forward to hanging out here on POTV, everyone seems really nice :)

Hello and welcome man_d no such thing as a dumb question it's very much appreciated when questions like this are asked, believe me there are plenty of people who want to know the answer but dare not post, and it is posts like these that help us all expand our knowledge so no apology required

Hi Mark! Thanks ever so much. I must admit to feeling a bit clueless about this and it's a massive help to know that there's a place as friendly as this that I can ask and not feel like I'm going to get either laughed at for being asking n00b questions or ignored for being clueless.

I've spent about a week lurking and reading all the forums and the amount of info I've gleaned has been invaluable, I'd never have even got this far if it hadn't been for this forum. To be honest I think I'd have given up trying to work it out if I'd only had info off websites to go on. I reckon I'm going to like it here on the Planet! :thankssign:

No Noobs here my dear! Just new users!

No one here would make fun of you for asking questions and if they did I'd bust out the :whipping:

We have all been in the position you are in now, I stumbled along for 9 months before I came across POTV and the help and assistance was amazing, there is genuinely no such thing as a stupid question and everyone will help you out as much as they can, check out the wiki page as a quick read through this will help with some of the terminology and types of devices

Right I've gone for it! Kit ordered, held off on the vivi nova for the minute because they had quite a few on that same website and I got a bit lost and confused with what I was looking at, so I've ordered the main bit so it can be on its way to me and I'll have a look at the vivi nova's tonight when I get home and try and get my head round it a bit more.

Cor it's fun this vaping business isn't it!! :yahoo:

Hiya Man_d and welcome to the Planet :), as has been said there`s no such thing as a daft question, everybody starts somewhere and we would much rather a question was raised than left the fester in the new users mind, and yeah, this vaping is fun, but beware for if your not careful you could fall victim to the dreaded "shiny-itis", many a peep on here can attest to it`s ability to grab hold of you unawares and before you know whats hit you (and your Wallet / Purse) you have suddenly acquired all sorts of shimmering goodies :) .
