So started vaping a few months ago with my wife as a method of quitting smoking (it worked) , Started with aspire pockexes , Which were simple and suited our needs at the time , Eventually we upgraded , She didn't want anything to powerful so went for a smok priv m-17.

I however mostly due to lack of knowledge made my first mistake seeking something more powerful but not to powerful went for the smok mag baby, Whilst being an okay device and obviously being more powerful then my aspire pockex, I found that while on paper practically it was not so great , As to run it at any power the battery that could not be altered would drain to quickly , And if it was in any position other then vertical it tended to leak a little . So could not be travelled with which was sorta the point in going for a smaller one .

So i decided to go back and upgrade again to a smok i-priv which now I've turned the light off and the voice control , it seems to be suiting all my needs , Now i have a question , What are my tank options for this mod? I want a tank with high capacity that can support a coil around 100W (that can handle that) that will fit the mod obviously , And very importantly that i can buy coils for , I don't have the knowledge to build them. Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Sure someone will be along shortly to answer your question. Gratz on quitting smoking!! Both of you!!

Hi @adrian_uk and welcome.
I dont use stock coil tanks but anything that has a 510 connection will work on your mod.
Have a look at the latest tanks that take mesh coils as they seem to be doing it for folks that own them.

Looking at the dimensions it is 35mm diameter so you could fit most tanks to that but if you want to go down the stock coils and tanks I'd go for a freemax mesh pro, pretty much the same dimensions as the smok tank that comes with the kit great flavour and if not in a rush I'd get one from China or you will get a 2ml capacity from UK unless they supply a bubble tank with it, coils are widely available and the double mesh ones are very good not tried triple or quads but the single mesh ain't the best

You can get the tank from aliexpress or fasttech for between £15-17 you can also get the coils from there too with some good bundles on aliexpress

As above, pretty much any tank on the market will fit the mod you have.

When looking at coils, remember it is not all about wattage, most people will never vape at 100 watts constantly. Even coils that are rated for 100W usually work best much lower.

I am guessing as you are looking at high watts you are direct to lung rather the mouth to lung?

Best advice would be to try a few different ohm coils at different wattages and see what yo like best. The freemax mesh pro gets great reviews but there are literally 100's of tanks that will do the job.

Actually , TBH i would say I'm more mouth to lung then Direct to lung , As I have spent most my vaping time up until now doing that, But I'm trying to pull away from replicating cigarettes now so exploring my options ...

Also thank you for the welcomes .

Isn't showing an edit option on my previous post or i would .

My instinct is to probably go for a tank that will support low wattage coils that i can use as MTL ... Then to also keep the one i currently have and also have a tank that will support better coils so i can switch dependant on mood , But I don't know how realistic or practical that would pan out in reality .

The Aspire Tigon is supposed to work as both a mtl & dtl tank, depending on the coil. It’s pretty new so I haven’t seen much feedback on it. Or the Innokin Zenith and Isub-B tanks both have coil options that can be used both ways. You’re definitely best ordering from abroad to get the bigger capacity tank.

Just looked at the tigon tank , it looks interesting with 2 very wide spread coils a 0.4 and a 1.2 and I've had a very good experience with aspire before , my only gripe is minor i wish it had a colour option that matched better, but thats very minor ...
