My usual battery vendor (Fogstar) doesn't seem to have these on the site any more, neither does 18650.uk I have found some at a reasonable price here https://www.ecoluxshopdirect.co.uk/sony-vtc4-18650-2100mah-30a-battery

I have also seen some on other vape shops sites but i ain't paying 9 quid a battery! Then there is ebay, well the less said the better really.

So what happened to all the VTC4's? and is Ecolux Torchy's company i.e. reputable?

There's nothing wrong with Ecolux, however I'm not sure why you'd choose VTC4's these days, VTC5A's are a much better battery.

Ecolux is another long standing vendor, it's not Torchys company.

It's someone with the same quality reputation though.

It's a fair point, having tried a few batteries over the years i've just come to prefer Sony's overall, and i use VTC5's, VTC5A's, VTC6's and VTC4's depending on the mod they are going in, usually based on a non logical equation of capacity, amp rating and price. VTC4's have always in the past been very well priced compared to the others for there capacity and amp rating, hence why i wouldn't pay 9 quid for one.

Feel free to slap me down on this.
But wasn't there some serious counterfeiting awhile back with the vtc4's, which was another reason they went out of fashion, as well as better batteries coming out.

I don't think you'd need to worry about fakes from trusted suppliers - they batch test, so they'd find them.

As for better batteries, it depends what you want them for. VTC4s are adequate for dual or triple battery regulated mods, so it would depend on what you could afford.
