Starter Wires?

Just getting into RBA/RDA's. Could someone give me a list of thickness of kanthal/nichrome wire to order as a stock to have if I wanted to learn different ways of building coils? As in, which ones are most used and which ones are mainly avoided. There's a lot of choice! =D

I use 32awg 0.20 for pro tanks/evods and .28 for most other things.

Is there any benefit to getting specific mm of wicks for different wires? Say difference between 2mm and 3mm?

I find 0.32mm (Not awg) works best for me. Each wrap around a 2mm screwdriver gives about 0.2 Ohm, so it is relatively easy for me to get to my sweet spot of between 0.8 and 1.2 Ohm.

Like most things, it is down to personal preference. You will get frustrated when you first try, but it is worth the effort when it all clicks into place.

That's very kind of you :-) I've just ordered some different gauge wires off ebay... I wanted a good supply and it seems cheap enough and my whole family vape, but are new to RDA/RBA's, so it'll probably SLOWLY get used up with our practicing... lol. Variety is the spice of life eh!

I've got the 0.2mm and the 0.32mm kanthal wires.

Question 1 - What is the difference between kanthal and nichrome wiring in practice?
Question 2 - Can someone link a good thread about wire meshing?
