Santa kindly brought me a few bottles of my favourite juice, only thing is its 12mg, I usually vape at 6mg on my sub tanks and 12 on my MTL set up, what are the cons at vaping sub ohm with high nic, will the throat hit be the most notable thing, I've been duel fueling the last few months and was getting back on the rollies heavy, not had any in 2 days since I got gifted new vape gear and made my mind up to stop the stinkies, been going through my 6mg juice like nobody's business due to my mindset of missing out on the smokes, will the higher nic enable me to just take a few puffs now and again quelling the craving rather than chain vaping
Higher nic in your 6mg tank may seem a little harsher on the throat and taste a little harsh compared to what you're used to if vaped sub ohm. If you're going back to tobacco however, you're obviously not getting sufficient nicotine intake to deal with your cravings, forcing you to smoke.
Try the 12mg out in your sub tank, but I'd advise restricted DTL with a 1.2 ohm coil rather than continuing on with a 0.5 ohm coil or MTL as this may help remove some of the harshness. I restricted DTL 18mg in a sub tank mini stealthvaping kit with a 1.2 ohm coil. It's a little harsh but it does the job very quickly in a few puffs, then you switch back to your normal sub ohm tank
.
Ultimately bud, in your shoes what I'd do is continue on with your 6mg in your current DTL 6mg set up for pleasure vaping per se. Then have a second tank with some 18mg, 15mg or 12mg and either restricted DTL it or MTL it on a plus ohm coil to cover your cravings. DON'T WORRY about what nic strengths you're using right now and trying to get it low as it's clearly not covering you for the withdrawal. Vape the maximum possible strength to cover your cravings to get you past the actual stage of giving up tobacco 100%. Once you've jumped that hurdle and settled, you're happy and not smoking anymore, only then consider dropping a level of nic strength, remain there for a while until your system adjusts and you're confident no more cravings, then drop nic strength again.
Ideally you want to be vaping only, no smoking
. If you're ending up smoking again, you definitely need to make adjustments. If that means going up in nic strength then so be it. Better to vape a higher nic strength than smoking. If you don't get on with MTL, you can restricted DTL higher nic liquids with plus ohm coils to deal with the cravings. Then as said, have a second tank for pleasure vaping with a lesser nic strength in it
.
Hope that helps
. Stick with the vaping bud
. Get the right tank, coils and liquids and vaping WILL get you off tobacco
. The Kanger Sub Tank/top tank minis are perfect for giving up smoking with a huge range of coils available to cover your quitting needs
. Using two with different tanks/coils may be your best bet. Certainly worked for me when I switched from older Protanks with 24mg to more modern sub ohm tanks and I'm now vaping 3mg, but as always everyone is different and everything is subjective so you may need to tinker a little at first
