Afternoon, having got my IGO-W at my preferred sweet spot I've been loving it, this little dripper sat on my shelf for 2 months after I bought it because I really didn't get on with it.

As some of you may of read where I mentioned it, I drilled out the airholes and now it's become my favourite dripper. Besides the fact the .6 ohm dual micro coil set up I've got in there demolishes juice it is really is fantastic at cloud production. However, I do keep stumbling across one problem with it which is starting to piss me off more and more every time it happens and has lead to taking drags off it like a fish.

Does anyone else dripping with a dual coil sub ohm set up get loads of juice in their mouth? I mean I'll clean out my drip tip then 4 pulls later and I have juice on my lips and tongue and the drip tip is soaking again, which kind of over rides how nice the vape tastes and makes it, well... yacky to end on...

I understand that because of this set up, and how much vapour is produced, some of it will condense and cluster to become liquid again which is fine, but how on earth do I stop this stuff getting in my mouth?
All I've thought of so far is getting a longer drip tip (which I ordered last night, 70mm) so there is more space for the liquid to condense and trail back down rather than getting in my mouth.
I don't see how an angled drip tip adapter would help though as It's not caused by spitting liquid I don't think but I have seen those wide bore drip tips and have a feeling that they could help somewhat, but before I take the plunge and spend what I deem to be a ridiculous amount for a little bit of metal, would they/do they help?

I've also noticed those long curved drip tips, but again, steep prices when you can get one from FT for $3 :|

easy question what wicking material are you using. i have both IGO L and IGO W4 and never get juice in the mouth simply because i always use cotton ( just a tiny amount is needed too.
you can see in this one i built the cotton is minimal.
also with cotton you can normally get away with about 10 drips. with silica most likely far less which would cause you to have juice pooling int he IGO which your then sucking up as its not getting evaporated

I cured all my juice in the mouth issues with this drip tip,but can't find the supplier on eBay now(was a £5)

Phantom Diablo I'm also using cotton, although just the straight up cotton through the coil style though. Maybe it would improve things if I tucked the cotton under the coils? With the way it fires though with no cap on the vapour shoots on an angle outwards toward the base and where I have the air holes lying, so I've always felt like restricting this airflow would worsen the vape, could I be wrong?

Colonial Vaper Mk II Thanks!! I'll be getting myself one of those :)

looking at your build it does seem a little over saturated with juice. certainly not to much cotton there, though i would say coming around the outside of the posts may be where the problem lies as the cotton is at the coolest area. looking at your image if you take the cotton from coming out of right side of bottom coil and then go between the middle and right hand post laying it over the second coil and do the reverse the other side it will still allow air to flow onto the coils but give the cotton more heat and more vapour so you end up almost with figure 8 similar to the one in mine. i would have around 1cm of cotton coming out of the coil so the part that lays over the second coil literally sits on the top of it without smothering it entirely.
heres one i did today at 0.7 ohms and vapes like a mad thing. you can see cotton goes between posts but doesnt cover the coils but remain in contact with them ensuring no cold spots as such and the juice then evaporates more evenly.

How big are your airholes out of interest?

I've been caning my IGO - W for the last two days and no issues with juice in the drip tip.

Got a couple of micro coils with cotton - nothing special but having just checked my cotton seems "drier" than yours!

Hold on, just juiced it up again, it still doesn't look as wet as yours, more like Mr Diablo's

Try less juice??

Cheers

i dont get this problem - i use 3mm ekowool and drip about 14 drops in at a time i've also drilled my airholes out to 1.5mm

@brighton guzzi My air holes are 2mm each so plenty of air is getting in, I do have strong lungs though so maybe I'm pulling too hard on it? I'm somewhat tempted to put another 2x 2mm holes in next to the original ones but I'm apprehensive about doing it until I have a spare cap incase I don't like it!
@Phantom Diablo I tried that method but found it was almost boiling the juice and causing a lot of spitting which worsened the problem.. Maybe I'm just using too much juice then?
