Got a SX300 PCB and decided to just use a Hammond box to find out how well this PCB works for 30W :)

Taking inspiration from various online guides and other stuff I have seen on the 'net, I came up with this.....

Testing (430x640).jpg In use (394x640).jpg
The red acrylic is not dark enough so I had to try to be more tidy with the wiring :D
Can also be used as a pass-through while charging, but it is a brick... now to try some 0.5ohm builds ;)

Nice mod
Is that the gravity sensor chip
Where did you source it please

Bought this one from a member on here who had a few for sale, it is the gravity sensor :)
However you can approach Yihiecigar directly to get samples http://www.yihiecigar.com/products_info/Yihiecigar-SX300-254278.html

They have the SX350 which you can upgrade the software, only problem is the price point is very close to the DNA...
Have to wait and see if a vendor can get them at a lower price point ;)

How about tinting the inside face of the perspex to make it a bit darker but leave a small square so you can still see the display through the red perspex?
You could do this with some of that film they use for tinting car windows.
You'd need to sort out a mounting for the display it wouldn't move but I think it'd tidy up the look.
Good work!

robski Thanks ;)
If I was going to keep it like this, I would definitely need to do something like that ;)
I am looking to get it into a smaller case now that I have been using it for a few days, it has been great :)

Hopefully the weather etc will let me get into the shed for the better tools to create something :D

Better weather? Nah! Just stick a fan heater in the shed! Sorted!

Heater has been sorted robski ;)
It is the 'etc' part where the OH has to move his stuff so I can get in... trying to talk him into getting a second shed :D

How about a house clearance company?
Empty shed - tick
A bit of cash in the back pocket - tick
What could possibly go wrong?
Errrrmmm... Probably best not to answer that one!!! :grin2:
