I've heard Red Astaire bandied about but have never tried it so I got myself a bottle of concentrate (and some Forrest Affair).

What's the best % to mix these fellas at? Opinion on the interwebs seems divided. I'm not to fussed about clouds but like a small haze so I'm going to aim for 50 - 50 or maybe 60% VG. Open to suggestions though as I'm new to this mixing thing.

Ta.

I mix at 20% on both due to having an end ratio of 80/20

So id personally say 15-16%

Cheers - that was quick.

It'll probably go in a Lemo, Kayfun or Taifun or if steeping times are compatible with delivery times - the golliath. I'm not normally one for hype but lots of people rave about it so I thought mixing some up to try was a better idea than my slightly pricey local B&M.

I still need my Nic fix so that'll be going in too at about 6% (from 72% PG concentrate) so off the top of my head it wouldn't hit 70% VG.

Red Astaire @15% at 60/40 vg/pg for me. Pretty much good from the mix but does improve a bit with a few days. Not tried Forrest Affair.

So the big question is "is Red Astaire as good as the hype?" (I guess the fact that pretty much everyone uses it is a bit of a clue).

I avoided red for close on 12 months due to the hype. I wish I had tried it sooner
