Before buying the Tesla I was aware of a 40W limitation during TC from watching the video reviews by The Vapor Chronicles and Vapor Trails particularly. I didn't think this would be a major issue as 40W is likely to give plenty of ramp up in TC mode anyway and the Chronicles guy is a complete cockwomble.

However, having used TC mode for a while I've noticed that the Tesla performs slightly differently to that shown on the reviews.

In pic one you can see the display preset for TC - a 0.15ohm Ni200 coil set for 500F and 45W.
In pic two you can see the display during firing - the 0.15ohm is locked in (it doesn't read resistance in real time like one of my iPV D2s) and here's the thing, the Watts and Temperature display positions have transposed. Watts is reading the actual output and the Temperature is showing in real time ... both obviously fluctuate.

The TC works absolutely fine; temp is very consistent, power delivery is smooth, no rattlesnaking effect like on the D2s and I vaped the wick until it was just about dry and white. Have I seen the mod deliver more than 40W during ramp up? Yes, albeit only for a fraction of a second. So is the 40W TC limitation a real issue with the Tesla? Maybe only with the review samples ...

I love this mod. A little heavy but great form factor, power delivery and battery life ... it also recharges very quickly.

And i'm still waiting on mine!:)

Bummer! :(
You think they've lied to you and don't have the Steam Punk versions?
I've just come home to find a card from the postie. Two parcels to pick up tomorrow. Surely the Tesla will be one of them!:)

Fingers crossed for you, I've had mine since 31 Dec. Hope you like it as much as I do.

I believe it charges at 2A? I'll have to make sure I have a usb plug rated above that.

Yes, it's slow from the USB hub connected to my PC but I have a power bank and it draws really fast from that.

I bought a belkin usb wall charger from asda for 15 quid, tad expensive, but i would rather buy a well known brand, its 2.1 amp, charges the nano quick and safe, got other wall chargers for tablets, phones etc, just none rated high enough amp wise
