TFV8 Cloud Beast Mod

Hi everyone!

For a while now I've been using the R-Steam 80W mod with a Micro TFV4 tank. However, I'm 100% set on getting a TFV8 Cloud Beast. I know I need a mod that can provide 100W or above so I really need some advice on what mod to get. I was looking at the Smok G-Priv but I feel like I could get something that would do the same job at a much lower price. Any suggestions?

I'd say you probably don't need more than 100w to use the cloud beast, I own one and rarely go that high with it, i stick at around 70-80 is nice to me.
There is though a load of 150w+ mods at decent prices

They have a few decent mods in the sale, I looked at the Smoant battlestar because it's the same shape as my wismec r2/3 that has a nice shape to hold
But there is more in that site and many other places, depends what type of wait your willing to accept as places like fasttech and gearbest can have better prices but long delivery times

The kbox 160w does the same job. I have the 120w and the 160w and both work well with the tfv8. Basic to look at, but halve the price of the G-Priv. They do a 200w version as well.
Currently trying out the smok gx350, that comes with a tfv8 as part of the kit. Loving it, although it is a bit on the chunky side.
I paid £65 for mine, so similar price to the G-priv.

@jock1092 I was actually looking at the Vamp Vapes sales and liked the look of the one you suggested.
@anthonyb Someone recommended me to try the GX350 although I was really close to buying the Smok Alien, however I heard it has some soldering issues and was recommended the G-Priv instead.

I think having issues is just the luck of the draw. Me Alien has been running fine on a daily basis since I got it back in December. As for the gx350, only had it for a week, so to early to tell.

Have u tried the tfv8?? Imo is not a nice vape and coils at £5 a pop

for 100 watts on a cheap dual battery mod the smoant battlestar or smok alien are probably the way to go. the battlestar is under 40 bucks on gearbest and the alien you can usually find for around 50 bucks

@anthonyb I'm 50-50 now on an Alien or an XCube Ultra I've watched some reviews on both and they seem really solid to me. Alien is slightly edging it now after lots of people are telling me that they're really good! Plus it looks nicer than the XCube imo.

@Ricky 2410 I have I've got the TFV8 now and I love it personally, I also picked up an Aspire Cleito 120 and I think that's a good tank, I'm gonna be using that on my R-Steam Mini once I get a new battery.

@Anthony Vapes I am definitely considering the Alien as I've said. The only issues that I have are the soldering issues like I said previously (although from many people it seems that's a luck of the draw kinda thing) and the fact that the paint can chip away quite quickly. Other than that, I think the Alien could well be my final decision!

I've never heard of a soldering issue on the alien. And the paint issues are long gone. Haven't seen a mod purchased in the last few months that had paint issues. Also the battlestar is a great option as well
