This is a personal review of a product I either bought or received free of charge. The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of this website, planetofthevapes.co.uk
I got this a couple of weeks ago FOC from Jay at Vicious Ant you can also see @VapinGreek review it here.
First... It's pretty and as a lady, I LIKE pretty and I LOVE this pretty.
It is tiny and looks good on an EGO as well as bigger mods like the Sig ZMAX and the vamo...But I like it best on my sig.
It has two peices...the pretty top cap which you can fit any 510 driptip into it and the bottom peice which holds the posts for your wick and coil. The post are feed through, what I mean by that is you raise two little allen screws in the posts and feed the coil end through the holes, then screw the allen screws back down. It makes things SO MUCH easier and I really think any rebuilable dripper/atty needs to implement this feature because it just makes life easier for a RDA user.
It took me all of 3 minutes to coil and secure it. Came out to about 1.8ohms on the sig.
Now mind you I have wonky hands so small stuff doesnt normally work out for me, but because of the posts being feed through, it was way easy.
Now... After using it for some time, I have two major issues with it. The outer post is too close to the outer rim of the bottom piece, so the coil had to be at the very end of the wick and if you use bigger guage wire, you run the risk of shorting out the coil because the first coil WILL and DOES touch the con-caved top cap. So you have to use little wick and little wire.
My second issue and I don't know if it is just me and it probably is, but no matter what OHM or Wattage I vape on this, within a day, it burns the wick and tastes disgusting. I have rewicked and rewicked and I know what I am doing, but I think that because it is so small, it keeps the heat inside and continued use with such heat...does what it does and eventually burns it.
Maybe it's user flaw , but regardless the outside post needs to be moved and maybe the atomiser itself made a mm or 2 bigger to avoid the coil short issue.
Overall though, when it's not burning out or shorting the coil on the top cap, its a vaping beast. With a short drip tip you get a nice warm vape and with a longer dt it cools it down a bit. It looks brilliant on anything you put it on
I waited for Jay to get back to me for pricing wholesale v retail for this for vendors interested in the UK but I had to find the prices through 2 other vendors...
Because their shipping and MOQ are kind of high, PLUS up to 8% in fees for payment, wholesale, these atties would have to retail at over £35.00 for vendors to make even a little bit of profit on them.
Do I think in its current state £35 is a good price? NO. I don't. It's over priced for what it is and you can find alternatives that look nearly as nice for a fraction of the price (i think fasttech has one for 12 USD!)
