DISCLAIMER: This is a personal review of a products purchased with my own cool, hard cash - no freebies, no mates rates. The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of this website, planetofthevapes.co.uk
I don't know where I saw the advert for 10ml of e-juice for a quid, but I was sceptical. I have seen mention of LiQuid elsewhere on the forum, with the usual "I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole" type comments - the sort of thing that spurs me on to try stuff, if I'm honest.
OK - I wasn't expecting great things from a juice that costs 10p per ml - but after looking at the website (here) and reading the quality details - which to be honest you can't miss as it's plastered on their home page, I became a lot more interested.
Most concerns that seasoned vapers may raise are answered in their comprehensive FAQ section - which actually has a lot more information about their product and manufacturing process than many other sites, and includes MSDS, Testing and Clean Room certification details.
In the end, I opted for a load of different juices which arrived in a jiffy bag two days after ordering them.
The bottles are child-proof, clearly labelled with all necessary warnings, list of ingredients (other than nicotine), batch number and expiry date. All ship-shape and Bristol fashion.
I will add to this review as I work my way through the bottles - so here are the first three...
VERY BERRY (12mg 50/50 PG/VG)
Pale pink in colour. Lightly viscous liquid. Smells of fruit, with a slightly "sherbet" tone.
Tastes absolutely fantastic! In a Kayfun with cotton wick at 7W, it really does taste exactly as you would expect a "berry" type juice to taste. This is not a sharp - fresh from the punnet type taste, but borders between fruit and confectionary. Quite a mild throat hit, and plenty of vapour. Taste is good on the inhale as well as the exhale.
PINA COLADA (10mg 50/50 PG/VG)
Very pale yellow in colour. Light viscous liquid. Smells of fruit and coconut - strangely enough!
Again, the taste of this one took me by surprise - as did a lap covered in it after by quartz section parted from my kayfun! Having tried some very nice cocktail juices from gourmet producers, this is, in my opinion, up there with some of them. There is a well-blended rounded taste, not too much of anything - but as tasty as fuck! Again, the throat hit is mild, and the vapour produced is plentiful. Good on the in and good on the out too!
BANANA (10mg 50/50 PG/VG)
Clear, light viscous liquid. Smells of - wait for it - banana! This is a "confectionary" type banana rather than the fruit - like banana sweets.
This is a mild juice - the flavour is there, and it is banana. I'm not a great lover of banana, but this is "soft" enough to be very enjoyable. Like the other juices, the throat hit is mild, and the vapour is great. The office smells like a sweetshop. The taste, again is good on the in and out.
So - what do I think?
I am very surprised that a budget juice, especially a pound or so (after added shipping costs) can be so decent. I rarely buy manufactured liquids as I prefer to mix my own - however, I must say that for anyone who is vaping on a budget and wants a decent tasting fluid, or looking for a decent cheap all-day vape - these have got to be worth considering. £3 for 30ml (3x10ml) - not bad!
I would even go as far as to say that any retailer looking for a range of "everyday" juices to stock should seriously give these some consideration.
I will be buying more of these juices - for myself, and also as "freebies" for friends and acquaintances looking to try different juices, as they certainly - so far - don't do any injustice to the vaping experience.
As an after thought - these are good enough to "add" to flavour-wise. For example, the berry with some menthol would be good, and the aniseed that I am waiting to try smells good as a potential additive to other juices...
That's all for the time being. I'll add as I try the others.
Once again, I have no affiliation with the manufacturer or it's employees etc. These are my views, and mine alone.
