To FET or not to FET?

One of my upcoming projects is gonna be a single 18650 squonk box,undecided on the enclosure but it will have fdv v4 squonk connector and 12mm mitec switch,just wondering if it's worthwhile running a FET.

All depends on how many amps you're willing to put through your switch

FET is milliamps with 1 or 2 milliohms switching resistance
no fet depends on your build with switching resistance dependent on how dirty it gets

If you're planning to go sub ohm (even a bit) you'll be better with a fet...

I'm gonna add to this, ALWAYS use a MOSFET. The performance of the mod will be so much better. Most button switches are not rated to handle much over 500mA, unless you go huge. So due to this, you're degrading the performance by causing extra resistance through the switch.
