mod stand 007.jpgmod stand 004.jpg 3 hours and £1.18 later (brass knobs).

Well chuffed with myself today. Lined the holes with self adhesive velcro (the furry side) to prevent the wood scratching the mod cases. Already had the stain, but was originally going to use brown boot polish. The aim was to build something that really looked something special, as quickly and as cheaply as possible. Think I achieved my target. :grin2:

that looks spot on ! how about you get a 100% markup and sell me one :P
Haha! Hey would love to do as many as the forum members would like. Though what I did takes very little skill, if indeed any at all. It was a 'Blue Peter' inspired project! Simply had to drill x2 holes for the brass knobs and x3 holes for the 3 mods. Stained the wood using a dish washing sponge, was going to line the holes with cut lengths of flat bootlace, but found some self adhesive velcro in the Mrs 6027,s sewing kit, so that saved a messy job of glueing the laces in place. The item on ebay is No. 260761516468 if anyone else wants to have a crack at doing the same. It was a devil of a job to track down the item in the first place, Hobbycraft sell them but they charge an arm and a leg. Happy pottering!

The person selling the item is going to be scratching there head over the next few days as to why the sudden surge in sales of mini drawers :D

Just found a minor problem. I ain't got any mods to put in it. Ego's in the draw wouldn't look the same.
