Using nic salts in drag 3 Voopoo device

I have recently purchased a Voopoo drag 3 and I know high VG and low nicotine liquids are recommended. However, I need around 10mg nicotine so I want to use 50/50 nic salts in the device. I have got a 0.15ohms TPP-DM3 cool and using it at around 30watts. Flavour isn’t bad but could be better.

Am I using the right coil and wattage? Any suggestions on what I should use? Any other way I can get a 10mg nicotine hit from a sub ohm tank?

I have tried MTL low wattage vape pens but they are not for me. The drag 3 is actually pretty good!

Hello @B1l and welcome to POTV. I don't use nic salts and I vape sub ohm at under 1mg nic so I won't be of any help to you, but I am sure someone will be along to help soon. 10mg is quite high for sub-ohm, but if that's what you need Anyway, enjoy

If you need 10mg then stick with it if it works for you.

I don't own a TPP tank, but it may be worth trying the TPP-DM4 Mesh 0.30 ohm coils that are rated for 32 - 40 watts - the ones you are currently using are specced for 80 to 100 Watt vaping and could get leaky if you aren't using enough power, but if the coils aren't leaking and you're getting a decent vape I wouldn't worry.

Hi I use nic salts at 10mg at 65 watts which is perfect for me tbh I buy the nic salts in 72% strength and add it to a 100ml bottle of juice I'm using the profile rdta with mesh coils hope that helps

This. I have just got some of these coils and use 12mg nic salt juice in them. They work perfectly and you'll get a much nicer vape than using the 0.15 at a lower wattage. You'll also be better off using 60/40 or 70/30 juice with them but they are much less likely to leak with 50/50 than the lower ohm coils.

Personally, I would've bought the Drag Max. Mtl and dtl pods available with plenty of coil choice and power.

In fact, I did buy it. Great kit, imho

Are there mtl pods available for the drag 3? Must be? If there are then that's where I'd be looking. Mtl doesn't always = wimpy coil and lower power.

Right mate here we go
I buy 72% salt nic
I buy a 100ml bottle of juice from vape shop

It comes out around 10mg in strength I use my drag 3 mod with a 0.18 mesh coil in a profile rdta which can be a tank or dripper whichever you prefer I vape at around 65 watts which is just perfect for me
