Hi all,

I’m fed up with my Smok Prince Stick Baby and have decided to get a Uwell Nunchaku.

Does anyone know if my my current TFV12 Baby Prince tank will fit on the Nunchaku mod (as a backup tank) I think I read the TFV12 Prince tank would, but not sure about the baby?

Also, if anyone has a Nunchaku and would like to let me know how they’re getting on with it, that would be great

Cheers

Also, would I be able to use an RDA such as the Dead Rabbit on the Nunchaku mod?

And one more thing: I know the Nunchaku is an 80w devise but the only 2 coils available for it only go up to recommended 50w!?

What coils can I buy that go up to 80w?

The dead rabbit is 24mm. The mod is 25mm. Yes, it will fit. The prince baby is 26mm. It will have a tiny bit of overhang but you can still use it.

What coils can you buy that go up to 80w? Coils for what? The prince, nunchaku, dead rabbit or none of the above?

Coils for the Nunchaku tank

And is the dead rabbit safe to use with the Nunchaku? What’s the draw backs to using the Nunchaku as oppose to a proper box mod? Will it just kill the battery? What’s the best coils to use for this and what sort of wattage could I run it at?

Sorry, I know I sound like a complete novice; probably ‘cos I am

No worries bud. Ask away.

The Nunchaku currently only takes two coils. One has .25 ohm resistance and the other has .4 ohm resistance. The .25 is rated 40-50w and the .4 is rated 44-55w.

Yes, the dead rabbit is perfectly fine to use on it. You're absolutely right, the only drawback is that the nunchaku is a single 18650 battery mod. But the dead rabbit is an rda which means you have an unbelievably wide selection of coils to choose from. You can either purchase pre-made coils or you can make your own. How quickly the battery drains will depend on how high you have the power. The lower the resistance of your coils the more power they will need to fire adequately. So by choosing coils with a higher resistance you'll be able to use less power and make the battery last longer. I would personally be aiming for around .3 ohm and above. Being a regulated mod there is absolutely no benefit in selecting very low resistance coils. All they will do is drain the battery.

Fused claptons are very popular. As is flat wire aka brochrome. I would advise getting Ni80 (NiChrome) or kanthal. At least whilst you're using the nunchaku. SS has the lowest resistance of all the metals so by using one of the others you'll be able to keep the resistance up a bit to make the battery life better.

That is some great info man. Thank you so much

If the nanchuku tank is anywhere near as good as the uwell crown 3, then you shouldn't have a problem.

No worries mate. If there's anything at all that you're unsure about, ask away.

Ok, so I went out and got the Nunchaku today and loving it so far. A big step up from my Smok baby prince. I just have a question about the coils.

What is the difference between the .25 and .4 coils?

I’m generally all about flavour and I’ve tried the .25 (pre-installed) which seems ok running at 50w. Will there be any difference in the .4 coil?

Thanks

Both coils are made from kanthal and are made with Clapton coils. Due to the resistance difference between the coils there will be a slight difference between them. It will either be in the number of wraps in one of the coils or it will be a difference in the wire gauges. A general rule of thumb with coils is the lower the resistance the more power you will need and the higher it is the less power you need. That's why small mouth to lung coils with a resistance of 1.8 ohm will only need 10 or 15w. Whereas a 0.2 coil might want 80w or more. So with the nunchaku coils, I would expect the .4 coil to need less power than the .25 coil. But that's not the case. In fact the .4 coil has a max of 55w and the .25 coil is 50w max. So either there is more wire or the wire gauges used are different.

So, yes, you may find it performs quite differently. I would advise trying both coils to see which you prefer.
