Hi guys using a smok species I have the V8 A3 coil in which is rated at 0.15 the device picks it up as being 0.13 I've been vaping it at 120 W I only ever use VW mode and always external charge my batteries ...I have noticed it's getting quite warm in my hand...I popped the batteries out and they too where warm not hot just warm .....the tank obviously gets quite hot but does that sound normal for the mod and Iinternal batteries to get warm is it just from heat transfer ? It's never got too hot to hold and is normally after I give it 2-3 good blasts the voltage metre reads 3.83 - 3.84 when I'm drawing on it normally about 2 and abit seconds just looking for some reassurance never had a mod that goes over 80 W before and I'm like the temp and clouds from it just wanna be on the safe side

Your batteries shouldn't be getting hot what cells are you using? And where did you pick them up?

Speaking out loud...........
Why do folk take the time and effort to write a war and peace type question then just dissapear.
:anyone:

I always wear a hard hat while vaping. Do you think wearing a hi-vis vest would make it even safer for me?

At 120 watts you'll need better batteries.

Samsung 30Q batteries (pink wrap) are 15 amp batteries.

Samsung 25R batteries (green wrap) are 20 amp batteries.

You really need 25 amp batteries.

Look at 18650.uk or fogstar.co.uk and get some Sony VTC5A's, or some Molicel 18650's.
