Hi all,
Well I had a problem with my Zmax,
I had a black Zmax which basically no doubt some of you will know the problem I had.
The 510 connector thread inside the mod was stripping not a first by all accounts. It also was a little wonkey. The wonkeyness I could live with as it was minor. The thread had got so worn that only the last 1/4 of turn was holding the atty (not good).
I contacted Keef and after me explaining my problem a bit better (what I think doesn't always come across), he asked for my order number and also if I had a stainless steel one or a black one.
Once I emailed him back that I had a black one there was no argument and he said that they had problems with it stripping in the past and that is why they are no longer stocked.
He also offered me a full refund or exchange for a stainless steel version which they have had no issues with.
Well me being me I had already been eyeing up the telescopic version so made the suggestion that I would prefer a tele as opposed to the normal one.
I got the answer I wanted this wasn't a problem.
So I packaged the Zmax up (body only) and end-cap and sent it off. Happy days
I expected there to be a difference to pay and made that quite clear that given the choice id happily pay it. Well today and yesterday I was contacted by Kirsty to say that they had received it back and what did I want to do.
I explained that id rather go for the tele as per above.
So that led to the extra cost which I was happy to find out to be £10 but here's the twist, Kirsty also asked me for my cost of return which I gladly informed her. I got a mail today to say that if I paid £6 the tele was mine and it will be on its way tomorrow.
So all in all I think that the way the complaint was handled was spot on and tbh the return postage cost covered was a nice touch.
I have always got a top service there and this could have been the difference between a returning customer and a not returning for me.
I have also already bought the UD AGI and a couple of stainless steel drip tips whilst waiting as a kind of tyde me over pressie lol
Its times like this that the good shine and the bad fall by the way side.
