hello,
Normally use a vandvape pulse, but saw this on offer, thought I would have as a reserve
How on earth do you correctly fill the tank, 2ml, without overflowing, impossible to see the liquid level as you fill
Anyone had experience of what could be a good little backup device

No idea about the kit but when filling a tank that is not transparent or barely transparent then fill slowly till you see liquid appearing at the fill hole.

I have used this method on old skool tanks made of steel and on lawnmowers it works fairly well.
Have tissue at hand in case you over fill by a couple of drops.

You can get needle nose fill bottles that will make the job easier (not so much for lawnmowers, yet to find a needle nose bottle big enough) or you can use a syringe to measure 2ml of liquid if overfilling is a big worry for you..
