Danny @Vaporesso sent me this to try out. I am not affiliated with POTV or Vaporesso, nor do I get paid to review things.
The Vaporesso Luxe X Pod Kit
https://www.vaporesso.com/vape-kits/luxe-x
The Luxe X is a 1500mah internal battery pod system that takes both 0.4ohm and 0.8ohm refillable pods. You can adjust airflow by turning the pod itself 180 degrees in the battery section. The pod capacity on this version is 5ml but it will, of course, only be 2ml in TPD regions. While it’s mainly advertised as a DTL and RDL device the 0.8 pod allows you to vape MTL as well.
In the box you get:
1 Vaporesso Luxe X Battery
1 Vaporesso Luxe X 0.4ohm Mesh Pod
1 Vaporesso Luxe X 0.8ohm Mesh Pod
1 Type-C Cable
1 User Manual
1 Warranty Card
Style wise it’s a pretty cool wee device. It’s not completely see through and you can’t see all the workings inside but you can see the board on the front of the battery, showing off the Axon chip I assume. The Luxe X has a bit of branding on it for a Vaporesso device as they’re usually more subtle, but it’s still not annoying. There’s a big Luxe X on the back and a Vaporesso logo above that on the metal trim. It also has Vaporesso written on one side and the chipset has Axon written on the board as well. It’s actually all quite in fitting with the overall design of the kit and I do like the design. The pods themselves are quite big for a small pod system but fit in ok. The 0.8 seems tighter than the 0.4 as I noticed the 0.4 pod wobbled a bit for me on occasion when taking a draw, it was quite annoying at first but I did get used to it. The 0.8 was tighter and I had to use my fingers to make it wobble at all. I’m not sure if it’s down to the pins in the top of the battery or not and I do wonder if it would have been better if they’d gone with click in pods rather than magnet fit. Nevertheless, it didn’t bother me for long and the draw on the pods more than made up for a small niggle.
In use it’s nice to see that Vaporesso continue to make pods that straddle both DTL and MTL vaping. I’d say that even on the more open 0.4 pod setting it’s more RDL than full DTL but the draw is quite open and it’s a really nice draw. Turning the pod 180 degrees and fitting again will restrict the draw a little more, giving a proper RDL draw but I still preferred it fully open personally. There’s a nice amount of vapour and the flavour is definitely good. I have found myself using this pod a lot more than I thought I would and have really enjoyed it.
With the 0.8 on the fully open setting it’s a very nice RDL draw that doubles up as a nice loose MTL draw as well. Just what I like. Turn the pod round and it’s a tighter MTL, not proper MTL tight though, more of a medium MTL draw but it’s still good that it caters to this as I was expecting a really loose MTL on both sides as most pods that try to do both end up doing.
Overall Vaporesso have made another cracking pod system that caters to both DTL and MTL while keeping things nice and simple. I was annoyed by the wobbly 0.4 pod at first but I got used to it and enjoyed the draw on that pod immensely. The 0.8 pod was nice as well for a RDL draw and it was nice for a change to get a MTL draw on a pod that claims to do both while not having a traditional adjustable airlflow. This system is perfect for no fuss vaping and would suit a new vaper well as it’ll let them decide what they prefer.
