Thanks to a post on the Sqounk Life Fb Group i found by Jeremy Medlock a modification that can be done to the Rig Squonk mod which helps reduce some of the voltage drop when using it. All credit for this modification should go to Jeremy Medlock.
I have since done this modification to my own Rig Squonk Mod
Having done so i can give a couple of tips if you choose to mod your own.
the hole which drill to attach to the 510 pin should be 6mm in diameter and approx 2/3 rds of the way up from the bottom of the connection you are making.
On the side of the connection where your battery will make connection i would advise making a dimple either using a dimple tool or by a hammer and punch tool.
Taking the current connection out is fairly simple and can be done without any damge to it should you wish to replace it again.
As for how well it works i can only give my experience as i am unable to test fully, however id have to say with my usual builds i feel the inital hits are stronger and remain slightly stronger throught the life of the current charge of the battery in use.
