Hi,
There is a thread about this on the forum somewhere but i can't find it.
I've been using an rta for last couple of weeks, its exactly the same as the vertigo.
Last night i noticed underneath the surface, it's made of some sort of yellow metal.
So should i stop using it ?

As long as the surfaces that actually make contact with juice are still coated and not damaged/scratched ie. The atomizer chamber and juice chamber

Then you'll be fine, just check it every time you fill it up. Unfortunately if you see any scratches or wearing of the chrome plating then its better off in the bin!

If its THE RTA by ClockWorks then your safe and have nothing to worry about. But as you said its like the vertigo, im guessing its one of the chinese copies.

Cheers guys,
Yeah its a cheepo chinese job
Its only where the screw threads have worn and the top piece underneath where the spike sits.
Cant get a clear enough pic sry.
Guess i can keep using it till i get something thats made better.
I bought it to try out making my own wicks/coils. No problems doing that.
as soon as i can get one of the quality rta's i'll dump this thing. The tank is way too small for me anyway.
Tnx

What is this thing about not vaping on brass devices? Lead I might understand, but there is brass and bronze in most plumbing fittings (plumb being latin for lead) and in some coffee machines that make steam. W|here is the science behind this?

Ive just got back in so i havent looked for the thread again yet, i assume brass is ok because you can get pipe screens made from brass, think there might be an issue if its copper ?

Brass changes when it comes into contact with Nicotine, get all green and goopy.

So there's some sort of cupric oxide forming? I can understand that no one would want to vape copper containing materials.

What about bronze?
