Hope everyone is having a great bank holiday weekend. I have another mod review for you from Voopoo, the Alpha Zip. I was fortunate enough to be sent this the same time as the Drag 2 platinum and honestly I was so excited to get the Drag in my hand that I didn't think much of the Alpha to begin with. The design looked dated to me like the design department had found some old styles and thought fuck it lets just release that. It just felt like a backward step from the drags. Over the last week though I have come to appreciate this mods true beauty. And boy has it grown on me. So lets take a look...…

Glass Tube (2ml)

I'm absolutely loving Voopoo's newest member of the family. I am a massive Drag fanboy and truly am favouring this over the Drag's atm. The box feels really well made and fits my hand perfectly. I usually thumb fire all my mods but have found I have shifted to finger firing sometimes as the Alpha has a raised area where the fire button is. I'm loving the buttons they are very clicky and very responsive and I love the large square fire button placement. It seems they have also done some work on the battery door. There is absolutely no movement side to side but still unfortunately 0.09mm movement which is a major improvement from the Drag 2's.

Pros
1. GENE Chip this is one hell of a chip. It fast and I mean super fast and its also very accurate
2. Build Quality Another very well made box. I work in the aerospace industry and when my mate who works in Quality saw it he was amazed how well made it was, and his jaw nearly hit the floor when I said it was made in china
3. Fire button I really like the size and position of this
4. Power This mod now chucks out 180w which is good for all the cloud chasers out there
5. Designs Loving the new designs and know there's going to be a lot (not me though) that will be glad one side isn't advertising the model
6. Firmware upgradable

Cons
1. Rattle a massive improvement on the Drags but still a slight movement on the battery door when you pick the mod up
2. I'm really really struggling to find other cons only thing I can think is that sometimes it fires when trying to turn it off as its that quick firing

Now would I replace this if it broke. I actually would prefer this over the Drag 2's atm. Its comfy well made and hits quick and hard, what's not to like.

I was going to use this review to test the other single coil for the MAAT tank but unfortunately I burnt them both out within about half a tank so had to use the twins where reviewed with the MAAT tank in my other review here
