VooPoo Argus XT Draw Issues

I recently bought the Argus XT and the Drag 4
When I first got them both, everything was all good and behaving like they should, but recently my Argus XT feels like I'm drawing on 20 watts on my 80 watt coil.
Switching the tanks over, the one that was on Argus XT fires like it should on the drag 4, so it's definitely related to the mod.
I've tried different batteries and its always hovering around 2V's even on fully charged batteries (The batteries are fine in other mods). And it does also seem to jump around the voltage between 1.9 and 2V while drawing.

If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated as it's a great mod for out and about use. (The Drag 4 likes to go off in my pocket)

Hi @Yohflyer and welcome to the planet.

ive not got the kit so just guess work here while you wait for others that may have this kit.

what batteries have you tried. make and model number. are you using 18650 or 21700.
a single battery mod will die very quickly if you are running it at high wattage.
as i said ive not got this kit but last single battery 60w mod i had i was getting 1 hour 10minutes at 45watt using a single 18650.
as it feels like 20watts what actual wattage have you got it set to.
how long have you had the coil in. could it be gunked up so not getting the draw you used to get.
have you got it set to turbo mode which gives 25% more power in 1 second.
maybe its not reading the coill correctly.

Hey! Thanks!

I've just replaced the coil hoping it was that to no avail, single 18650, although I'm gonna buy a 21700 in hopes that has a better discharge, I have it set to 80w, but its seemingly no less power when I do run at 30w which is why it seems weird.

As for battery make and model, i've tried AWT 18650 330MAH 40A (No model number that I can see)"
and some really old Pure Evil 3000MAH 40A

both of these seem to draw fine on other mods, although i may be imagining that this mod drew high to start with and i'm just unfamiliar with a single battery mod

Have tried turbo and smart mode, both seem exactly the same

I have the Drag 4 set to 40W and its giving a great draw. I've set my Argus MT ( I dont have the XT) to 40W and its giving me the same intensity of draw. I have the UForce-L tank on both. Did the same at 30W and 20W and they both perform much the same.
An 18650 battery in the XT limits the wattage to 80W Max.
Sounds like there is a problem with your XT.
Also both the Drag 4 and Argus MT/XT have QS slider switches on the front so you can lock the fire button so wont go off in your pocket.

it sounds like it’s not working right. i would take it back to the shop and ask them to exchange it for a new one.

ive never heard of those batteries before so cant say anything about them.
for vaping i would highly recommend only buying your batteries from fogstar https://www.fogstar.co.uk/

agree with above though. sounds like it could be faulty. what ohm coil are you using and what ohm does it show on screen.
sounds like you are pushing that battery to the max for a single 18650 battery. me personally i would never push a single battery mod over 50watts.

Looks like i'll have to look at returning it then :/

I've bought the majority of batteries from fogstar over the years and i'm pretttyyy sure at least some of the batteries i've tried were from fogstar
packet says .15 ohms, although the XT is reading it as 0.13, but I can't imagine that making the difference that it currently is
I do normally use it on 60w, the 80 was just to see if I could get any more power out of it since it wasn't playing nice

The one thing I noticed on the MT is once the battery reaches 10% remaining charge the intensity of the draw dramatically reduces irrespective of the wattage it's set to. Just make sure the battery icon on your XT is showing over 10% remaining as this might be the issue.
From the sound of it if the power level is not altering your vape draw irrespective of what the display is saying then there's a problem with your mod.

Currently at 27% but have tried with 100% batteries too and haven't noticed change

I can draw for 8 seconds on the XT to get the same cloud as when I put it on my Drag 4 in 1.4 seconds (moving the tank across too so not to do with the coil/liquid) at the same wattage
