Voopoo Drag 2 Plat woes

First post so please be gentle, it's a bit of a rant but hope somebody can help ...

I've recently bought a Voopoo Drag 2 Plat and in a nutshell it's doing my head in.

I've been vaping for about 3 years, I started on a little Aspire MTL device which was great to get me off the cigs, then I moved onto various mod kits, played around with RTA's, coil building and drippers like the Profile and Dead Rabbit but got sick of choking on molten juice all the time, so switched to a (don't laugh) Smok Species. The flavour and clouds from the V2 were epic, after dropping the mod a couple of times and it being held together with gaffa tape I decided to try something different, I've always liked the look of the Drag so a couple of weeks ago I picked up an Aurora Platinum D2.

Out of the box it was fine running the U2 coil, my Broke Baller Bangin Blueberry juice is probably a bit sweet though and I've found the coils don't last very long compared to the V2 on the Smok. I bought a pack of U4 coils which I've been running for the last week but after a couple of days it's burning out again. Any recommendations for a good blueberry juice that doesn't kill coils?

My main question is around the mode selection though, I'm struggling a little bit with the Voopoo, I'll be honest I'm not interested in TC and have always run my mods on wattage mode, on the Species the sweet spot seemed to be around 80w.

Can anyone familiar with the Drag please explain what is happening, I seem to have two wattage modes, one TC mode, and only 2 FIT modes, plus the custom mode.

One question is why don't I have three FIT modes now, is it because of the U4 coil I've installed?

On the first wattage mode I have a S above the W on the screen, in this mode I get a max power message at 60w, three more clicks and I get another wattage mode but with a R above the W, this mode goes up to the full 177w. What are the S and R indicating?

If I select either of these wattage modes and try to go any higher than 40w I get a burnt taste after a couple of pulls.

I must be doing something wrong, please help before I chuck it in the bin and buy another Smok

Mine back in box , not needed at mo.
Do away with fit mode, useless .

Might be the coils might not. The freemax mesh ones are better in the uforce 2 tank anyway (not the mesh pro coils though).

I haven't had this issue with my drag 2. Are you sure you're in VW mode?

I'm not actually sure what mode I'm in currently, it displays an R above the W but can't find any info explaining what that means.

Not sure why I have two vw modes, TC and only two FIT modes, it's as though I've pressed something I shouldn't have

Anyone able to help at all?

Still getting dry hits, tried various juices, binned another coil since my last post

And I still don't have a clue what's happened to my modes or why I have a R or S above the W in wattage mode.

The only mode I can use is FIT1, which is crap, FIT2 gives instant dry hits and I haven't seen FIT3 since I first unboxed it.

sorry, I gave my drag 2 mini away ages ago..

does the screen not look like this?

S is for Smart mode. Sets the wattage according to the detected coil & wont allow you to exceed max wattage.
R is for RBA mode which allows custom settings as the user requires.
The other options I have no idea as only own a Drag X & Argus GT.
Does the manual not give any information?
