Got this in early last week. Just opened stock this weekend and put it up on the website. However as a retailer we have until 19th May 2017 to sell these. Wholesalers/suppliers are only allowed to sell us old stock as of today.

There are some countries who have adopted the Grandfather Clause, allowing for a slower roll out of the TPD regulations. This allows the regulations to happen in phases which will hopefully minimize the damage to vape businesses operating inside of these countries. May 20, 2016 to November 20, 2016 shops will be allowed to continue the buying and selling of the newer vaping devices. Following November 20, 2016 the shops will no longer be able to restock with anything that does not comply with the TPD guidelines. Even though shops will no longer be able to restock with anything that is not TPD compliant by November 20, 2016, they will be able to sell all of the stock they have received up until May 20, 2017. So basically, vapers will not be affected fully until May 20, 2017. However, vape shops will begin to feel the pressure of the TPD regulations starting November 20, 2016.

Producers (distributors, importers and manufacturers) cannot sell any remaining stocks of non-compliant products to retailers and trade customers after 19 November 2016, unless those products have been notified.

Hey Jaimunki,

We are fully aware of the rules. Hence why we have a big back log of products to put up on our website since we stocked up prior to this date from our suppliers. Aspire have also notified a whole load of products along side most of our suppliers who will now be supplying us with 10ml TPD complaint (beard vape co being one of them) flavours from now on.

Not sure how you read this, but to me this states you may re stock all you like but to just be aware you must remove them from sale by may 2017 if not sold.

I read this too. Its a bit confusing as the wording is unclear. You are right in the sense that:

Old stock
"you may continue to sell products you already have in stock during this period" - This clause applies to stock you already have in stock

New Stock
"When sourcing new supplies of any e-cigarette or refill container products, ask your supplier whether the product complies with the requirements of the TPD. If the answer is no, be aware that you may only sell the product until 19 May 2017." - This clause applies to re-stocking and purchasing new products

I think we are fine to purchase new products and have until 19th May 2017 to sell them
