Hi, Lonestargal here from the US. I'll let you guess the state. ;)

I'm probably one of the rare few here that did not start vaping to stop smoking. I AM a former smoker, but that was about 17 years ago.

Actually I've started to see if it will help me lose weight. To curb cravings with all the dessert and fruity flavors.

Last week I got my first battery (eGo-T 1100mah) and standard cheapo clearomizers (from eBay of all places) and ordered some juice from Mt Baker Vapor (Berry Creamy & Cotton Candy 0% nicotine.) I have to say I was very pleased with the flavor and and quality of both the juices and the equipment.

That being said, I tend to overdo new things. I go hog wild buying parts, extras, etc. So of course I ordered a bunch more stuff and watched a lot of videos.

Ordered a couple of batteries (Air & Pro) and 3 juices from Vapor Zone. 3 more batteries (EVOs) from a seller on eBay, some bridgeless atomizers and a few drip tips. (Yep, lot of batteries but I also have a friend who used to use an ecig but her battery died, family and other friends that smoke, etc.)

And in addition to all that, I subscribed to ZampleBox.

All of that showed up today and I'm just so depressed.

The Vapor Zone Air doesn't work at all. You can see it get hot, but it does NOTHING to the liquid. No vapor, nada. I watched the videos from VZ and did everything just as directed. Still nada. :(

The EVO batteries and the Pro battery pretty much burn everything. Regardless of which clearomizer I use, the cheapy top feeds I was already using or the bottoms that came with them. And they're not adjustable batteries. So I don't get it. The clearomizers that came with them also seem to let a TON of air in. So the air flows right through and there's next to no vapor.

And to wrap it up, the ZampleBox was full, but every flavor in it was just... gross. :( The ones from Vapor Zone weren't much better... and I picked those out. :$

I didn't mean to turn this into a complaint post, but I'm just so down right now. Even the tank I was using yesterday tastes burnt when I put it back on my original eGo.

I'm a sad panda. :(

Good morning and welcome to POTV.

Just a quick idea....are you letting your wicks really soak up the juice before vaping? I know its frustrating and you want to get on and vape. But sometimes it can take a while to smother them ;)

Tubbyengineer stoobs Panter any other ideas?

No, sorry, I'm not familiar with any of that kit :(
Just had a google of the vapor zone one, seems pretty overpriced for what it is and that battery is pathetically small.
The bridgless attie, is that a dripper? if you've got a wick in, juice and a hot coil then you can't not get vapour?!
All I could suggest is (spending more money though) getting yourself an iClear30S
They don't get a great deal of love on here, so I'll probably get shot down, but as you want it for flavour and not vape, I think you'd have to spend a lot to get better for the money. They're reliable, don't leak, easy to fill, produce a reasonable vapour and have superb taste.

I'm surprised your juices area all manky, that must be a real disappointment. If you like something sweet and creamy, I can highly recommend Digby's custard, but don't know if they ship overseas and don't seem to offer a 0mg nicotine. You could always contact them if it was of interest, you can pm @Digby's through here.
The only American juices I've tried have been Vermillion river, they seem pretty good, they must do something you'd like?

There was a piece on the radio last week about vaping, someone phoned in to that and said she was doing it purely to lose weight, and it had been really successful so it can be done.

Good luck!

EDIT: If you do have a dripper; when you just have the coil in, and no wick, does it heat up to Orange hot quickly?

I am also unfamiliar with the starter kit however I do have some experience with Mt Baker juice and know that it comes in 2 ratios 50/50 pg/vg or 20/80 pg/vg. Both may struggle in a clearo due to vg level esp if you have the latter mix. If you want to stick with clearos then an Aspire Nautilus or Kanger aerotank v2 would be up to the job. Hope this helps a little sorry I could not help more on this one.

Aloha love

Burnt taste sounds like the wick has been affected, what sort of clearo you using? what happened when it started tasting burnt? (chain vaping / newly filled / something else)

I've had some stuff from MBV (and more i havent gone through yet) and so far Cotton Candy, Blue Moo, Bananacream Pie and Strawberry have tasted the best but I hear good things about Sticky Bun, Cinnamon Roll and a few others (cream ones seem up there for them). Custard ones seem popular, never had one myself (probs cause i dont care for custard anyway).

Good luck and Happy vaping

@Lonestargal, You may want to keep an eye on this post over the next few hours! as I try to work everything out I'll keep editing it to add info...

OK I've looked at the Videos for the Vaporzone stuff, The Air uses a proprietary cartomiser tank and the instructional video is just pants - utterly useless. To fill a carto tank you first need to very carefully soak the wadding (white stuff) in the central tube or fill the tank and leave it at least an hour for juice to soak all the way up the wadding. If you didn't do that and the wadding got burnt it will never taste right again, you'll need to switch to a new carto tank and try again. As others have said a 350mAh battery is TINY, Half a days use at the very best.

The Pro: that seems to be a passthrough type eGo battery with an Evod Clearo so should work reasonably well without to much trouble, make sure that you do give the tank a few primer draws before you fire it, if your first draw is OK but then it starts to get burnt and harsh it is probably a wicking issue with very thick juices...
The Pro atomiser seems to be a standard Evod Type, first off take it apart, wash it, pop in a new head and fill, once you've filled it give two or three strong draws on it without firing, you should see the juice level drop and a few bubbles rise into the tank, if you see that then it should be good to go. If not it could be that you are having wicking problems, search on you tube for video's on "Removing Evod Flavour wick" or just watch this one from the "Little Orange God of Vaping - PBusardo"

The Bridgless atty you mention - is it a Bauway 306 bridgless?, or is it a 510 bridgeless? if so that is probably the easiest one to get guaranteed results from, You need a special driptip for 306 atty's that slots over the outside of the atty,But once you've got a tip onthen it's the same for both 306 & 510 - you drip about 3 small drops of liquid directly down the tip onto the coil, vape between 2 to 5 draws (Until the flavour dissapears but before the awful burnt taste) then add a couple more drops. This is an excellent way to test juice flavours as you use just a few drops and should get the exact taste of the liquid almost immeadeatly. If you seem to be getting odd flavours it could be that the atty is dirty or damaged, first try soaking it in hot water with a little Milton Fluid (Baby bottle steriliser) then rinse under running water, blow through from the coil end until you get no more water (won't take much) refit to your battery and try dripping again - It should be much better, if not it will need replacing - I find they last three weeks or so of steady use.
Have a watch of this by Dimitri - The Vaping Greek

You may also have burnt wick / Juice in your other tanks etc, if you can, wash out any of your tanks you are having problems with - burnt tastes from the wick can taint everything in the tank so best to empty it out and start again. Then, where possible; change out the heads for new ones...
Once you've changed out the heads etc you should follow the same procedure for filling as for the pro, fill, primer draw, then vape. It should solve most problems. Your old heads may be recoverable, search you tube for instructions on dry burning and cleaning (really cheap ones might not be dry burnable)...

Hopefully this should cover most of your problems - but feel free to post back for more help...

Tyvm for the responses!!

Just woke up and gotta get ready for work but I will def respond later with an update about the results of the evening.

Just one note really quickly, the Mt Baker vapors were great. :) Sorry if I left the impression they weren't. I'll list what came in my ZampleBox in my next reply and some things that happened with the equipment.

Again thx so much for replying and being so helpful!

That set up is a pain for someone starting out, I would send it all back and order one of these with the Ilcear 30 tank. for under $40 you'll get a good vape. Its easy as charge the unit (the charge will last a long time) , fill the tank, attach the tank and vape. Innokin iTaste MVP 2.0 iClear

Hmm, Ididn't want to say that but probably true at least for the Air...
No reason the Pro should be a problem though - pretty straight forward Evod kit
