What's going on

Am I doing something wrong I've done 3 x 10ml bottles now and both taste perfumey am I putting in too much concentrate. ?

Mix 1
50/50 PG/VG - 6mg
15% cherry
Tastes aweful

Mix 2
50/50 PG/VG - 6mg
10% BlackBerry
Tastes same

Mix 3
50/50 PG/VG - 6mg
10% red astaire
5% BlackBerry

Could be several things bud

Could be the concentrates are bad quality, and could be they need a good steep but Fruits are normally good to go.

Oh and I had the same with maraschino cherry as well at 15 % so 4 mixes , they are totally wicked except red astaire

Evening all

I've not used totally wicked but I probably wouldn't go so high as 15% with a straight fruit. I use inawara (sp) mostly and they are pretty potent so 5% is usually plenty.

When adding fruit to other juices or concentrates I normally stay below 5%...2-3% is usually a good starting place.

With RA I usually use 8% RA and upto 5% fruit. The only one I use above this is Capella Golden Pinapple as Capella fruits aren't quite as potent.

I've never had a mix taste too chemically...but that could be down to the brand of concentrate....like I said, I've never used them so I couldn't say this for definite.

Not necessarily....

If I was you....I would dilute your mix down a bit. So put 5ml of your cherry mix in a fresh 10ml bottle and top up with 5ml PG/VG mix. This would reduce your overall nic level but I wouldn't worry to much about that right now. If diluting the mix gets you a better flavour you can always correct the nic afterwards.

Like I said...that's what I would do if I were you. Gotta be better to mix in a little more PG/VG and get a better result than to have to chuck the lot down the sink??
