I have a smok t priv, the batteries are fully charged (I use an external charger) the vape turns on and lights up but when I press the button it says "low battery", anyone know what's up with that?

And I know nothing about vapes so don't use weird words I won't understand

That is a weird one. The only time I see a low battery is when the are low obviously or the wattage is too high, with low ohms.

Is this a new device or is this the first time you have seen this message? Could it be the battery charger not charging? I know this is not advised but you could try charging it directly through the mod to rule out the external charger.

It says that the batteries are fully charged, and the vape is maybe like a year old

Hi @Matthew Gonzo welcome to potv..

You will learn the lingo.. we all struggle with that to begin with, but its not a high hurdle ;)

I dont know your mod but Have you had any juice leaks into the mod at all? juice can be corrosive to electronics and pcbs though it will generally manifest in a total failure of the mod if it happens..

What happens if you take the batteries out, switch their position and put them back in?

What batteries and charger are you using?

Sounds very much like it's a battery balance problem. Even more when you understand the batteries are 12 months old. Do you keep your batteries in matched pairs?

my guess is one of your batteries is giving up the ghost. The mod will give that warning if that's the case.
Get yourself some new cells, I'd advise using Fogstar, though 18650 are a fine company, too.
