When to rewick

Might sound silly, but when do you know when to rewick etc

Depending on juices, usually every day or every other day. My juices are gunky sugary goodness!

I mix my own juice, strawberry and vanilla bean.
Have been using same cotton for about a week, not discoloured but guess it needs a change
Using cotton candy but also got some of cotton bacon, all new to me

I just keep an eye on my coils(Clapton)

When I can't see the wrap wire because it's caked I pull the cotton and wash the coilsrewick and drip again.

Also the flavour is the best indicator of when to change

If it's not discoloured and doesn't taste like the devil's farts then you're probably OK! @speedfreek67 's post is a "funny because it's true" handy guide!

I just changed all my gunky coils this morning, so I can't demonstrate what a sludgy coil looks like for at least a few more hours
