Hi guys. Pretty new to this so go easy on me.

I started vaping 2 weeks ago with juice (menthol and mixed fruit) bought from store that I could not fault. I decided to buy some on-line as they worked out cheaper. I just tried them and well, they are totally disgusting. I got Apple, Strawberry and a menthol. They taste like I would imagine licking a dirty ashtray. They are all the 11mg strength.

What's the deal as surely 3 out of 3 cannot be this bad?

Advice welcome. Cheers.

One of the #1 complaints by new vapers is bad tasting juice.

Depending on how long you've smoked, you have to keep in mind you damaged your taste buds to the max. Over the course of the 1st 12 weeks once you have completely stopped smoking, your taste buds are going into repair mode as your body tries to fix all the damage done to it. It is not a perfect process and sometimes lasts longer than most people would think. It could be a week, it could be months before your taste buds get back in business and work the way they should.

The particular brand of your juice is Hangsen, while it is the most popular mass produced juice, it is also one of those brands that is hit and miss with SOME flavours.

None of those juices have a tobacco base, so the nasty taste you are getting might be a side effect from quitting smoking.

(or your clearomiser/cartomiser/atomiser has gone duff)

I'm not sure what device you are using but you maybe experiencing a burnt taste which is associated with dirty ashtray after all and could be down to a dry carto or wicking issues. Have you tried the juices in different things?

Hi, Yes I have tried them in 2 different things. 1 double coil tank and a clearomiser and both are the same. Although i will say both of them were brand new. I will try them in my older ones I have no issues with.

Cheers,

Just want to make it clear I have no issues with vendor at all just personal issue with this bad taste.

I sometimes find hangsen juices a bit hit and miss, also the are a bit overpowering on the flavour. Bought some VG to dilute it down. Perhaps try emptying your atty's out and washing them and giving them a dry burn. Unless your have cartomizers.

You could also try steeping the new juices. I'm pretty new to vaping too and found my taste buds changing like mad in the beginning Also different vendors use different concentrates and mix ratios etc so you must also bare that in mind as this affects the taste too. I also lost the taste in a juice so I would compensate this by having a spare tank filled so I could switch between the 2. Almost 4 months on and my buds have settled right down and I have went back to juices in my stock that I didn't like before hand and now enjoy them.

Hope this helps ya :)

I have emptied them out and going to try again later after they have dried out. Not sure about this dry burn? Does it not burn the wick? how long do i do it for? do i suck but not inhale or just let it burn?

Sorry so many questions.

On the plus side the DCT is something else. Major throat hit.

Cheers.

What type of clearo have you got? If it's a very I usually pulse the power button until it glows red. Burns all the crap of them that may have accumulated on the coil. Hope this is of some help :)

Hi, No idea on make but I have dry burned it as per an instruction on youtube. I don't think it was clearomisers as even when I smell the juices in bottle there is a horrible smell also. The same smell from all three. I think the may be just strange and not to my cup of tea at all. I mean to the point of even making me feel a bit sick.

I may have learned a lesson and just stick to what I like.

Perhaps one of you West Lothian guys would like to try some of them just to confirm its not just me?

Cheers for your advice so far guys.
