Wire choice

Hi everyone. I want to start making my own coils, and I have decided on ss but from there I could do with a bit of help please.
I'm thinking of getting a Clapton wire from crazy wire, https://www.wireandstuff.co.uk/prod...m---36-Wrap--5-Metre--15ft--1915.html#SID=185
For a dead rabbit on an 80watt squonk, regardless of my nooby ineptitude will this give me a chance of making vapour? Thanks

That is extremely low resistance wire so with a dual coil atomiser your overall resistance will be very low indeed therefore as you are starting out a higher resistance wire like this:

And plug it into this:
http://www.steam-engine.org/
This will help you build coils safely - roughly 8 wraps with 3mm internal diameter will give you 0.3 ohms resistance with dual coils

If i was you i would go for NI80 flat clapton thats what i use for most of my builds.........

I find its easy to build with you can vape on lower watts if you wish to and they heats up a lot quicker than ss wire i find that ss wire works better in TC mode on mods so unless you are used to TC mode but if you use watts on your mod then you are better off using NI wires.........

Hi again everyone, I've done some builds they have been fine, but I think I've run before I could walk and I could do with starting again on easy street, could anyone recommend a simple wire for a simpleton?

Look at images for the wires you're browsing and choose a simple round wire. Or buy a premade coil pack with a selection of different coils so you can test them out and see what works best for you.

Experimentation is a good thing, don't aim to get everything right the time, you'll work out what works right for you as you move along.
