Wismec, Joyetech Price Fixing

So when the Reuleaux came to light I started hunting for it, as far at this time there are none in the uk. Cigreen in Ireland had a limited pre order that it has released priced at a very reasonable £112.00 plus postage and is again taking pre orders. When I contacted Wismec on FB they told me to buy it from Clearmist in the USA, $169.99 (about £109.97 plus shipping) also a reasonable price. Then you look at Eleaf UK....you know, the company that is owned by Joyetech (whos controlling company share is owned by TW I believe)....want to guess their UK price???? £169.99 (£150.00 without batteries).....yeah I kid you not!!!!

So if that isn't bad enough I found a site in Europe who had a short time pre order available for the Releaux. They sold many makes of product but would not sell Wismec products to the UK! I sense the same thing happening with this product as happened with the Eleaf 50W when it was released. It is an illegal practice, car manufacturers tried doing this when individuals were buying cars directly in other EU countries. So much for freedom of trade within the EU!

So as with cars and other consumer goods the UK is being treated as a cash cow.

There is a trade agreement between eLeaf, Joyetech and TW if i remember correctly. Its shady, annoying and down right cheeky if you ask me!

If you don't like it buy it somewhere else, market forces will dictate the price. I've preordered one from Joyetech as I want it sooner rather than later ... such is the price of being an early adopter who wants to try and get a review out before every man and his dog has one...

Well that is it...This has been an expensive week for me, I have a Reuleaux on pre order and also bought a Sarumods Woodpecker........I aint gonna buy another mod!!!!!......................................................................this year!

For me the Wismec at £169, even with batteries has just managed to price itself out of the market for me. And with the confromation from Vape geek that the Efusion mini will have a 900Mah Lipo ( Really don't understand Lost Vapes logic on this one ). So it looks like I'm playing the waiting game. Somebody PLZ build a dual 18650 DNA 133w.

Totally wicked have it on pre-order with the 3 batteries for £149.99. That's £20 cheaper than joyetech, think I'll be buying it

I understand your frustration, but this is no different to any other vaping product - available in China for about the same price as the UK, but in dollars.

I love that Woodpecker, that could be my Christmas pressie.

Boxermod do one mate. But still pretty expensive.
