There's an argument that vaping is a gateway into smoking for young people, it's time to stub it out.
I sit here writing this while listening to Victoria Derbyshire on 5Live as they discuss smoking and people's reasons for giving up the bahit. Figures cited on the program claim that 70% of men and 40% of women smoked during the 70s and that, in 1976, the public health minister gave a press conference about the potential dangers from cigarette use while chain-smoking throughout. The figures contrasted sharply when compared to the fact that less than 10% of the population now smoke.
Where does this fit in with vaping?
"This year alone, nearly 26,000 Texas kids will become daily smokers, according to the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Now some anti-smoking advocates fear that instead of starting with traditional tobacco cigarettes, kids will reach for the newer electronic cigarettes."
