xtar and battery N00b questions ....

OK doke .. So a week ago I got 2 Senybor 2200mAh 3.7 18650's to play with my POTV tin mod ..

the charger turned up this morning at at last (xtar wp2 II)

I have no clue what of the three setting on the side to set it at ... 0 1 or 2?

its currently set at 1 .. and the lights are showing green .. but I know the batterys are empty (tried to fire up the tin mod)

what do I do, what do I set it at .. and what color should the lights be while charging!

As far as I know 2 is fast charge, 1 is slow charge and guess 0 is off. Fast charge is quicker but slow charge is meant to prolong the life of the batts.

It does say that when you first put a battery in it will show green (up to 15 secs I think) before it detects its a batt in need of charge and go red. I found that happens.

Either that or your batts are fooked

Pic of charger? Is it the one with space for 6 batteries?

If so they are set/charged in pairs...maybe you can set it

0. for one pair

1. for two pairs

2. for three pairs

Just a guess, never used one

Nah its a 2 space charger


It looks like one of the batts is f00ked .. one has urned red now ... the other stays green

deciphering the ingrish in the manual seems to say that if it stays green the batts faulty

Have you wiped the ends and swapped bays on the charger sometimes that works

Sorry but should of bought AW IMR's contact the seller they should last longer than a week

its not that they havnt lasted longer stig .. they have never been used ... this is first charge!

these were recommended actually, are AW IMR's better then ?

batteries are all so confusing!

The WP2 II has 3 settings. Charge at .5a, 1a, and usb output for charging devices from the first battery slot.

.5a is for smaller capacity cells 1a for the big fellas.

So set it to position 2 for 18650's and leave it to fully charge. I don't know much about Senybor's but they are pretty well regarded I think. AW are king though.
