I get about 6 hours from my VTC4 at 0.3 ohms,so a 1.2 ohm coil will easily do more than twice that.

Just a thought but are you sure they are protected batteries, if they are the Purple 2500mAh 35A ones that Vape Gear were selling recently, then they are NOT protected batteries, just higher Amp high drain IMRs.

Most protected batteries are slightly longer and wider than IMRs due to having the protection circuit in there and being double wrapped

Hi Guys I Know I've asked loads before about Mech Mods but I think theres one thing I failed to ask.

If I use a flat top 35amp Purple Efest Protected battery, if the battery becomes low will it cut out or will it allow itself to become fully drained to empty?

Thought id ask and be safe than risk hurting myself or someone lol

I know with 35amp I can go down to 0.01 ohm I won't be going lower than 1 ohm

Purple EFests are IMR and are NOT protected. So no they won't cut out, you'll notice a large drop off in vape quality around the time they get to 3.3v though which is when you need to change them.

also you can't go anywhere close to 0.01ohms with those batteries. 0.01ohms at 4.2v requires 400(four hundred!) amps.

you can safely use them down to about 0.15ohms.

If you're sticking to 1ohm+ coils then the normal red Efest batteries will be plenty good enough.
