1. I've just received a Vamo v2 (my first mod :-)) The top section that holds all the electronics is a little loose and I can pull it off, is this right? The package did come with a small tube of glue so was wondering if that was what that was for (yes it was from China).

2. What is a mechanical mod? What's the difference between one of them and my Vamo?

Erm, no that's not right at all unless the advert was for a DIY Vamo. Vamos do not get sent out broken with a tube of glue.

Very odd.

I bet its not glue and its that E-Solid shyte that I tell people not to touch with a 10 foot pole!

I don't know what's in the tube, the writing on it is too small! I thought it was a juice sample at forst but after taking the top off for a smell it dried hard like superglue.

The vamo is not broken, it just breaks down into smaller sections! It still works fine and doesn't just fall apart, however now and again you can feel it moving and I actually managed to pull it apart, it just seperates the top section from the battery sections.

They are "pull apart" as it were, no hard solder or glue.

I have seen people take them apart by hand, but it tends to take a bit of effort.

Either you are superman, and I've just discovered your secret identity, or yours is looser than mine was :D

And a mechanical mod is one with no electronics. It is usually just a tube for the battery with a firing switch which completes the circuit, to your atty. they can also be box or pipe shaped but no electronics and usually no wires.
