Hi all
Nearly finalised a design idea that I have been think about the last year or so.
I am going to be making my own copper 510 connection for it but cannot find any suitable copper screws for the positive post.
Anybody know if anyone supplies them. I am thinking about M3 or M4.
If not I suppose I will have to get some round bar and thread my own, any suggestions on diameter and thread size please?

Reason why you can't find copper screws is because copper is soft and not a good metal to thread.

As you probably know, copper is soft so it generally sin't used for screws. If you are going to make your own pin, the bigger the better as there will be more thread but obviously make sure the bit that touches the atty is small enough.

Cheers.
So probably better looking at brass screws for conductivity? There seem to be a choice of these around.
As it will be a mech mod I am looking at all the areas where there may be voltage loss.

4mm brass but you will need to turn down head a bit

Yep, cheers for that mate but the head will be further down in this design.
It will be a side by side mech for a kayfun mini or similar attie.

oh and you can thread copper but it's an arse, tapping much easier than using a die

that's a good find but I'm wondering if it's really worth the effort for the return re the overall resistance.....
still looks plug (or screw) and play

Think people have gone a bit voltage drop crazy Rip trippers style. People seem to love copper and silver. I'm not a mech nut, I use them but I'm not too bothered about voltage drops ala 0.000005 :)

Could just get some copper rod pound it with a hammer so it work hardens, turn it and thread it. Easiest you would be just to buy a sliver plated nemesis screw, think they are m5 or m4.
