I have bought a 69 MOD (Clone) and it's well made looks nice etc but it couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding, it's really underpowered I'm using a 18650 fully charged battery and I find using my oddy on a normal ego twist battery the vape is much better and a good sizzle is heard from the oddy, On the 69 mod it hardly gives it any sizzle, is there something wrong with my mod or do I need a kick?

What is the resistance of the coil?
With mechanical mods, low ohms is the way to go. I'd say anything from 1 to 1.2 ohms.

I have 1.8 in there now I will go for a lower next then, many thanks for your reply

I was kindly linked the following site which I've found helpful, hopefully you might do too :

http://www.steam-engine.org/#coilpower

You can play with resistances and voltages to see how they affect wattage and also how many amps will be pulled from the battery (important to know on a mech mod, so you can make sure your batteries will be up to the job).

I'm a noob on mechs/rebuildables but if any of the experienced guys want to add any tips, I think it would be helpful. ;)

Thanks man ,interesting stuff

Have you given all the contacts a good clean to make sure the "power" is getting to the attomiser, have you checked the battery it should be 4.2v when fully charged. I'm new to mods myself but on mine I gave the contacts a little buff with emery and it made a difference

*be careful with emery cloth on the contacts if yours is a clone with silver plated contacts!!

Oops thanks for the warning I haven't got any emery paper at the moment, should I just get fine paper? ,I don't want to ruin the mod, even though at the moment it is crap!

Rob1969in Could be worth checking to see that you have the top pin adjusted so that it's making good contact with your atty. Also, have you tried your mod in reverse mode (fire button at the bottom) to see if it is any better?
