A couple of noob questions...

Well, first of all hi, I've been using a cig a like from VIP for the last year. Very happy with it, but I've found the cartomisers have deteriorated in quality and therefore I'm spending a lot more money so I've switched to the VIP Photon Tank, simply because I'm already familiar with the brand and although the eliquid flavour selection is small, there were more than enough flavours to keep me going for ages. I'm told the Photon is a rebranded ego, which means nothing to me but might help you guys with my questions!

Now I'm not into all the nitty gritty of vaping, and having looked through this site quite a lot I've not idea what you are all on about half the time and I'm not too bothered. I'm a simple kinda gal, I just want a nice flavour, some nicotine, and to stay off the fags.

I do have a couple of questions though you lot might be able to help me with.

1: Instructions tell me to not exceed 2 inhales per minute and 20 inhales in 10 minutes. Is this health and safety nonsense or something I should abide by? Having been on the cigalikes for so long, I'm a very heavy user and I like vaping. I'm not overly keen on checking the clock to see if 10 minutes have passed yet....

2: With these clearomizers (I have two), is there a prefered way to switch between flavours?

Finally, 3: Is there anything I should do maintenance wise? I've read somewhere about cleanign something with a tissue each night, but I can't find it now!

Thanks very much in advance!

never heard of number 1 tbh and frankly I and I think most others will be exceeding this (well I hope so lol)
best to fill the two with different flavours

3. im sure someone else will advise on this one

Last of all Welcome

Welcome to the planet charlotl. Firstly, what part of Devon are you from? :)

Secondly, as for not exceeding 2 inhales a minute, I would say this advice has no substantial bearing, as I vape a damn sight more than that, and its never done me any harm :)

I dont understand what you mean by question 2, but you can always clean them out, and change liquids. Shhhhhh....dont tell anyone, but I can never be arsed to clean tanks out, and alway end up cross contaminating. I have made some real funky juices, including banana and orange this way!!!

Maintenance wise, if they are 'rebuildable' i.e can change the heads, then I would shussgest cleaning them out every week or so. If they are not, then there is nothing you can really do :)

As for the Photon, I would clean the battery connector every week with a cotton bud, but thats about it :)

Thanks very much lovely people. Right I am going to totally disregard the guidelines re frequency of vaping. thanks. AndyC1971 - I'm in Exeter. Know it? I just meant, when I finish one flavour and want to refill with another, do I need to do something, (like clean the tank out!) and if so, how on earth do you do that... for now I might not bother as I have a couple of them so I'll just fill them separately with different flavours, but would like to know for future ref!

Another question, I'd like to source cheaper clearomisers, which I can see there are some on the marketplace, how do i know which will fit my photon? Sorry if I sound a bit thick!

Have you got a link to your photon. I suspect it has a 510 thread, which means that is what you are looking for. Personally I would buy a couple of clearomisers, that are rebuildable, so you can change the heads, that way you save some money, and when the time comes and you feel comfortable, you can re wick them yourself.

As for Exeter, I know it well, live 52 miles north of you, and love the place :)

Wigglypops, so I gather, means nothing to me, but can I just buy any clearomiser to go with or do I need to find a specific type. I am literally clueless so bear with me.

I've never used clearomisers but the ones from vip are ce-4s, so any ce-4 will be the same. Yes you can use any clearomiser on your battery. Someone else will know more, like I say, I've never used one.
Ask me about rebuildables instead :)
