Hi guys,

Apart from Manabush, FlavourArt DIY juices are the only juices I've vaped that I'm 100% satisfied with, so I thought I'd write a few small reviews for anyone interested in DIY, or even fellow FlavourArt fans.

I went for FlavourArt as I heard the flavours were authentic and basically not sweet at all, which suits me perfectly, and they live up to that promise. Very authentic, and even the sweeter ones have only a touch of sweetness compared to almost all off the shelf liquids.

Espresso Creme - Superb, a very authentic, satisfying and moreish fresh coffee flavour, with just enough sweet cream flavour to prevent it being dry or harsh. Goes perfectly with Hazelnut. I use it at 3% with 2% hazelnut. 10/10, couldn't imagine a better coffee vape.

Hazelnut - Superb again, a completely authentic raw hazelnut flavour. Tastes just like hazelnuts, not bitter, not sweet, not dry. I use it at 2% mixed, and it goes perfectly with the Espresso listed above, 10/10.

Glory - Excellent. I was hoping for something similar to the brilliant Chiricahua Sun, and while I was initially disappointed in comparison with Chiri, it really grew on me. The disappointment came from it being much drier and not sweet at all, but when I got used to that I realised it was really nice and actually just what I wanted.

It tastes unmistakably of tobacco, with a kind of vague hint of nuts. Nothing as clear and fresh as the hazelnut flavour, more a vague roasted nut undertone, which suits the tobacco flavour more. Hard to believe this doesn't have any NET in it, as it tastes more of tobacco than anything I've tried apart from a NET, 9.5/10.

RY Nutzilla - Crap. Again I was hoping for something that was like Chiricahua Sun but less sweet, but this doesn't taste of tobacco or nuts, I mean literally not at all. It's a vague, murky caramel flavour and nothing more. On its own I think it's rubbish, but to be fair I did mix it with Glory and found that to be a worthwhile mix for a change - adds a subtle caramel flavour to complement the tobacco and nuts, which works pretty well.

Burley - Pretty crap on its own unfortunately, doesn't taste of tobacco at all. I find it makes an OK mixer, when mixed it does add some kind of vague tobacco flavour in contrast to whatever you mix it with, but using this seems pointless to me when Glory is 100 times better.

Watermelon - Very good and authentic watermelon flavour. I find fruity vapes a bit light and unsatisfying, so I doubt I'll use this much, but for fruit vape fans it is very good. Again, not too sweet at all, a realistic amount of sweetness. Not one of their stronger flavours, could do with being used at 4 or 5% rather than 2 or 3.

Coconut - Average. Not bad at all, but not great, a bit too subtle really. Kind of tastes of coconut milk rather than fresh coconut, and coconut milk is of course a pretty subtle flavour. Probably best used at 5% or more. Bizarrely this concentrate seems to increase vapour production, which some people might like just for that alone.

Strawberry - Good, does taste of strawberry, but perhaps not quite as an authentic a taste as their watermelon. Again, not a huge fan of fruit vapes so I probably won't use this much. I tried it with fresh cream first which was pretty good, but I felt it needed more depth/body, so added some Burley and Black Fire and ruined it, so chucked it :D I might try just strawberry on its own and see what that's like. This was stronger than watermelon, 3% was more than enough.

Fresh Cream - Very good. I haven't tried this on its own yet, but kind of smells like cream, and when added to other flavours does add an unmistakable flavour of slightly sweet cream. Seems like a worthwhile flavour as an all round mixer at least. I've tried mixing it at 2% which seems enough.

Black Fire - Very good, but VERY potent. Even 1% is too much, probably best at 0.5% or less as a mixer. It's basically liquid smoke, like smoked hickory extract. Has an unmistakable barbeque flavour. I suppose it tastes of barbequed wood. It is good mixed with tobacco to add a deep, rich smokeyness, but not too much or its completely overpowering. I also had to clean a tank to get rid of the taste.

Vanilla Bourbon - Very good, tastes just like real Madagascan vanilla. This concentrate is very dark, almost black. I've only tried it as a mixer, 2% adds just enough real vanilla taste without being overpowering. I've mixed it with fresh cream for a vanilla custard, but haven't tried it yet.

Chobaccy - Excellent, does exactly what it says on the tin pretty much. A definite tobacco taste, less than Glory but enough to know it's tobacco, more than Burley. And the chocolate is more of a creamy cocoa taste rather than milk or dark chocolate, perhaps most similar to a home made cocoa drink with milk. I'd say this is near perfect actually, quite deep and rich with no negative aspects. It does seem to be a bit of a coil clogger though, more than any other FA flavour I've tried. Seems perfect at 3%, 9.5/10.

Irish Cream - Excellent again. Freshly made, this has more of a seperate alcohol and cream flavour rather than Baileys, and quite a kick. The longer it steeps the more the flavours mix and the more it tastes like Baileys. It gets sweeter and creamier, but does retain just enough of a kick to seem a bit whisky-ish. This is very satisfying and moreish, and seems perfect at 3%, 9.5/10.

Great review Raffles. Like you I wasn't impressed with the Nutzilla. I think we were probably having the same idea as a base for a Chiricahua Sun type recipe (never going to happen) :( I have a lot of FA concentrates but that was the only baccy flavour I've tried of theirs. I'm going to add chocobaccy & Glory to my next order. Thanks. ;)

@Greebo No problem, and I'm glad I'm not alone in my assessment of Nutzilla ;) I don't blame you for not ordering any tobacco flavours after that. If our tastes are at all similar, you won't be disappointed with Glory and Chobaccy, both excellent. I've vaped a fair amount of both of them and haven't got bored of them at all.

Oh and by the way, as using a syringe with a tiny dripper bottle is fiddly, I use the drop method. This might be common knowledge but I found 33 drops = 1ml to be accurate enough. So if you want to make 20ml at 3%, it's simply 20 * 0.03, so 0.6mls. Then times that by 33, and you get to 19.8, or rather, 20 ;)

I'm thinking I may be able to mix chocobaccy with nuts, maple syrup/caramel, biscuit & coffee. You probably know where I'm going with this ;)

I've recently brought the glory, it's the first baccy flavour I've mixed.
Really enjoying it, mixed it at 4% plus 2% fa vanilla classic. Lovely.

Great reviews, thanks very much. Burley is very strange, takes everything over, even in small amounts. Glory sounds good, I've been getting back into some tobacco, esp RY4 types, wtf, I can hardly believe that.

I'm glad you like the reviews, I'll update the post when I try more flavours :)

Oh and I completely forgot to mention I'm vaping these at low wattage MTL, either with NatureVape coils or a T18.

Nice reviews thanks. Their King Arthur's Pipe is a great tobacco base as low as 0.5%. Perique Black and Dark Vapure together at 0.5 to 1% each is also a great base. Latakia is lovely also at around 1.5 to 2%. They all take a month or more to mature though so you might find the same with the tobaccos you didn't like. Black fire I use at 0.2%

No problem @Mr Numpty and thanks for the info. Wow, 0.2% seems too small an amount to even be detectable. I shouldn't be surprised though, it's outright dominant at 1%. At 0.2, is it just a very backgroundy bit of smokeyness?

Perique and Dark Vapure sound good, I remember reading elsewhere they were good mixed together (maybe on FA's own site). How would you describe the flavour of those two and also King Arthur's Pipe? I'll have to grab them on my next order.

I don't suppose any of you have tried Zen Garden? Sounds bizarre, vaping Italian herbs, but might be nice :D
