A few FlavourArt reviews

im a massive(quite recent fan) of ry4 legend if you havnt tried it get some its lovely with fa pistachio.
ive got a recipe here that im loving atm all fa flavourings its sweet pistachio with a hint of tobacco
vanilla and butterscotch.and cookie.
ive revised it from the diyordie pistachio ry4 as only had the fa equivalents but its worked out so well
I cant let it steep long enough lol.

No problem @Mr Numpty and thanks for the info. Wow, 0.2% seems too small an amount to even be detectable. I shouldn't be surprised though, it's outright dominant at 1%. At 0.2, is it just a very backgroundy bit of smokeyness?

Perique and Dark Vapure sound good, I remember reading elsewhere they were good mixed together (maybe on FA's own site). How would you describe the flavour of those two and also King Arthur's Pipe? I'll have to grab them on my next order.

Hard to describe the Perique and Dark vapure combo. It's just inoffensive tobacco. :D
King Arthur's pipe at 4% is a very bold, deep yet very smooth pipe tobacco. No harsh edge to it but strong. At 0.5% it just adds a really nice tobacco flavour without being pipe-like. 0.5% KAPipe and 0.75% each of Vapure and Perique makes for a well defined tobacco base after a steep without being overpowering. Depends how strong you want the tobacco element to be of course. Doubling those would be well in your face after a month, for instance.
Yes, 0.2% Black Fire gives the smoke effect without the woodiness you get as you approach 0.5%.

Anyone tried Oak Wood? I've got some and not sure about it, I need to perfect a blend.

Does the RY4 taste of murky caramel and little else by any chance? :D

I love pistachio though, I'll have to grab some of that on my next order.

I actually recieved a bottle the other day but still haven't tried. I'm planning to use it solo though at the go to 3%. I like the sound of it, pure, fresh wood. It's a nice smell, so if it tastes anything like fresh wood smells, should be good.

How have you tried it so far?

My dad tried some glory yesterday and said it tastes like seaweed :D

Now when I vape it - annoyingly - all I can taste is seaweed :D

On the plus side, the Espresso is the only juice he's really liked apart from PowWow. And I'm not surprised, it's pretty much perfect.

Haha no actually it's more like oryental4 with caramel, miles better than the Tpa offerings.

And how would you describe oryiental4? It was one of the flavours that sounded interesting to me, but I think I was a little put off by HIC saying it could well be called "Asian bitter herbs" or "dill pickles" :D

A quick update on some new flavours I got.

Oakwood - Excellent. Mild, fresh wood taste. It kind of tastes how freshly cut wood smells I guess. You'd be surprised at how pleasant it is to vape this pure wood flavour. I can imagine it could get a bit boring though, as it is mild and not punchy at all. Would probably make an excellent mixer, to add a subtle background depth and authentic base to other flavours.

Just tried it mixed with hazelnut, and damn, this is excellent. Way nicer than I expected. Hard to describe why it's so nice, but it is. Just adds an extra bit of depth and authenticity to the hazelnut, to bring out the flavour more. The wood almost serves the purpose of cocoa, a deep but not overpowering flavour to complement the hazelnut - makes it nutella esque but less sweet ;)

Black Tea
- Initially disappointing, not one of FA's more authentic flavours that's for sure. Doesn't taste of black tea. What tastes it like to me, is actually Peach Lipton Ice :D Once I accepted it didn't taste like pure, strong black tea and is nowhere near as authentic as their coffee - I started to like it. Light and pleasant.

I tried mixing it with cream, and sure enough it tastes a bit nicer. Just a bit fuller and more satisfying I guess. Then I tried mixing it with cardamom, and damn, this is excellent too. A basic chai style mix I guess - tea, cream and cardamom. Really nice, much better than I expected. It's still light, but complex enough to make you want to chainvape it relentlessly :D

Cardamom - Only tried it in the above mix, but in there it's truly excellent and very authentic. Tastes just like cardamom, and sniffing the bottle smells exactly like cardamom pods.

I still have Zen Garden and Tiramisu to try from this order, but I'm really impressd with the above 3 flavours.

For people like me who mainly vape tobacco and coffee, I think the oakwood and tea are a great alternative if you feel like a lighter flavour as a change, or break from strong, heavy flavours. I find them much nicer than fruit flavours actually, more interesting and satisfying. I'd also say Oakwood is way better than Black Fire, less overpowering and just a much more pleasant flavour.

FA Fuji - I love this. On it's own or to help freshen up other fruits.

FA Cola - great with Black Cherry for a sparkly soda vape.

I have a bunch of FA flavors and while I've not experimented enough with all of them to have much useful to say they feel very solid across the board. Except for Pineapple. It tastes very accurate but I just can't figure out how this use it. Even in small concentrations it just plain rapes any flavor it sees without hesitation.
